Probably sees more playing time and offensive freedom, even though he and Brazile would have been on the court together a lot.
Weak minded players going that route imo.

Nah, just a bigger money bag.

And guaranteed 35 minutes/30 shots/game in that offense.
It's a one year deal for him so Bama in their current state isn't the worst showcase for him.

What does this mean? Nelson doesn’t like the we openly prioritized Holland over him?
Nelson isn't in the same zip code as Holland so that was an easy decision plus waiting on Devo/Walsh was obvious to GN he wasn't priority.
Holland is a top 5 lottery pick type while a NBA podcast after the combine mentioned GN "Didn't play well at combine. Feedback not positive. Needs to go to high major."
GN needs to improve his defense and cut down turnovers. His offensive game and scoring is fine but after experiencing the combine the realization of heading back to school perhaps he wants to be the man and get a lot of shots this season. He also might not want to play alongside a 1st rd draft pick in Brazile. Bama has nothing outside of the 3 guards JQ, Sears and Estrada.
IMO not much NBA projection so it's in his best interest to get everything he can out of this last collegiate season.
We are seeing this with numerous college guys who don't really project well into the NBA taking a bag to play college ball.

Yep, playing time is more likely his biggest priority.

He will go to Bama because its fricking Bama.

I don’t care one way or another but what does bama basketball have over us?

A Nelson and Brazile frontcourt would be deadly and almost guarantee a Final Four appearance. Maybe a national championship.
Nelson would learn to play alongside another good big guy, which would be valuable for the NBA, and the success Arkansas could have with Nelson could help him tremendously in the draft.
If the draft is most the most important thing in his decision, then it seems like playing for an experienced former NBA coach would be preferable.

I honestly think Brown may be a better fit. No idea if we even contact IF Nelson doesn't pick us but we typically contact everyone.

Nothing. They beat us in football year after year. Just our luck to get beat out by them for a player in bball

I highly doubt they would outspend us if we really want him.
That assumption made based off what multiple outside sources have said in regards to the money we’re spending compared to everyone else.
Eta: and people think he might be bama bound while at the same time knowing our coaches are being a lot more tight lipped, compared to with Holland.

Welp...
I was wondering how his 6th year would work.

I was bored so I went to look at how Hogville is handling the Nelson situation, for entertainment value of course.
It did not disappoint.
Secret sources.
Mods writing open letters to Nelson.
Big ego arguments derailing the thread.
Grifting "media" personalities.
Never change Hogville.

I've yet to watch video on Brown, so I need to do that. But I really like Nelson's game.
