So who’s our big?
Posted on 5/31/23 at 9:35 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
Mitchell. Brazile probably plays a lot of 5, should see lots of “four-guard” lineups.
Of course we still have one spot left so who knows what will happen.

Fall, makhi, and graham is an upgrade over our front court last year. I'd argue shooting was the problem on last year's team, not big play

4-out offense big is Brazile.
Makhi is the true big when that matchup presents itself.
Graham is the other big.

We need another decent big, badly. Relying on Mitchell/Fall/Graham has me terrified
Posted on 5/31/23 at 9:54 pm to BallHawg10
Yeah our bigs are pretty rough right now, much worse than last year. I can't imagine Graham having to play not just a ton more minutes, but big minutes.

Yeah, I still don't understand Graham coming back.

Jordan Walsh is keeping his name in the 2023 NBA draft and will forgo his remaining eligibility at Arkansas, he told ESPN on Wednesday.
"This was a super hard decision, with Arkansas being home for me, but ultimately I chose my dream," Walsh said. "I'm betting on myself and taking the chance that I can grind it out and produce at the level I should be. Being able to know what the process will look like, I can come out successfully."
Walsh, the No. 39 prospect in ESPN's draft projections, improved his standing with teams at the draft combine by posting 15 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in 40 minutes of action while demonstrating impressive defensive versatility with his 7-foot-2 wingspan.
"Once I got out of Arkansas, I'm now in a position where I don't have handcuffs on me," the 6-foot-7 Walsh said. "I'm able to shoot and make plays for people. I have that flexibility to show that I can do all those things. I was stuck in a role, but now they'll see the real Jordan. That was a small glimpse of me at the combine."
Walsh averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 24 minutes per game at Arkansas as a freshman. He helped the Razorbacks to the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16, defeating No. 1 overall seed Kansas and losing to eventual national champion UConn.
At 19 years old, featuring elite physical tools and the ability to guard point guards through power forwards, he still has considerable room to improve his jump shot, and his overall offensive game continues to gain consistency.
"I feel like the foundation of my game will be a 3 and D player," Walsh said. "Having 50 percent of that done will catapult me into the type of career that I want and can see for myself."
Walsh is one of eight players slated to depart Arkansas this offseason, including projected lottery picks Anthony Black and Nick Smith Jr., and potential second-round pick Ricky Council IV. Coach Eric Musselman has a talented group of transfers and freshmen incoming for what will be almost a completely new roster featuring just two players who were part of last season's rotation.

Don't care for that, sounds immature on his part. Probably still upset/mad his offensive game didn't develop and he's still going round 2.
As if it's Muss's fault he was such a piss poor shooter? How dare Muss find a role for him to succeed in and be so impactful that he's still getting drafted.
Bye Jordan.

I wanted Walsh to come back, but I don’t blame him for chasing his dream. The fact that he is considered good enough to play at the next level is a testament to the work and coaching and exposure he received at Arkansas.
Good luck to him and I hope he does well.

that quote is tacky, as if he has an axe to grind. Dude was playing with fear the first half of the season, unlike Black who went all in.
I like Walsh, but damn! Not a good look at all

Muss probably wouldn’t disagree with the quote. JW had handcuffs on him because his game was still a work in progress. Muss has let many players come and go without putting a red light in their way.

Hey Jordan, having a role is being a part of what's called a "team". You'll have one in the NBA too. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Thanks for being a Hog.

Wow, what in the world would lead him to make that quote? That’s very immature. Can’t believe he would burn a bridge like that on the way out

I wonder if this unhappiness is what helped push Holland over to the G League

So now, after yesterday, we have 2 open spots?
