I don't think he is beloved by the fan base at all, he has a large chunk that still dislike/hate him.
Not understanding basketball and calling a top 10 pick unathletic is pretty ridiculous.

Is he really a top 10 pick though? Did he live up to the hype he was supposed to have here?
Again, I never saw that leadership out of him and I would assume that probably hurts him more than his stats this season.

Yes he is a top 10 pick still based on potential.
Same reason Anthony Richardson is going high despite being a bad college QB.

AR15 has a very weak draft class. He’s also not been to the combine to show exactly what potential he has, since this season.
I wish him the best.

You say it's weak but there's still possibly 5 QB's in the top 10. He just has a ton of raw potential and teams fall in love with that every year and in basketball too. They are saying this very thing about the '24 NBA class btw, extremely weak. Made the decision for guys on the bubble like Ware real easy to return.
They sure as hell aren't drafting NSJ in the lottery for his college stats.
I don't see why any Arkansas fan shouldn't be rooting for NSJ and AB to go as high in the draft as possible, it's incredible exposure if both go top 10 especially.
And if one pans out in the next year or two it only helps us more and more with recruiting and transfers. The possibility of both going back to back would be incredible at like 6/7 or 8/9.

The facebook warriors really are something else.
Their virtue signaling becomes pretty transparent when you think about the conversations that were had after Harleygate.
Thank Jobu we have Muss.

My opinion is that NSJ is a bit overrated and I've thought that since he was in high school. I suspect he has a good vertical and that he's a good, fluid scorer, so I wouldn't say that he's unathletic. I also don't think we ever got to see an ounce of his potential at Arkansas.
Although I'm dreaming, I'd love to have him back, but I hope he succeeds wherever he's drafted.

There were several games where Nick looked like the best player on the court. We saw flashes we just never saw him put it together consistently

i don't hink you realize that a dude who is unathletic who shots sub 40% from the field does not ozze potential lol.
I really think he was hurt. The reason why scouts love him is because he is athletic. They watch all of the AAU around the country.

unathletic is not the word i was looking for. he's not a plus athlete at thes hooting guard position. he's not an above the rim player. he doesn't get to the rim, he takes difficult shots becuase he can't get by his man. these are not good traits to have in college as a top 10 pick

Devo declaring
I wouldn't be surprised by it. There is a clip on youtube where he tells somebody his mother wants him to declare after this season.
I think his ceiling is overseas and coming back a year really does nothing to improve that.

He developed a solid catch-and-shoot 3 point shot this year, so I could see him finding a niche as a 3-and-D energy guy off the bench if he continues to improve there.
But your second point stands, I don't think there's much he could do that would elevate that status at this point in his college career.

Devo would be a huge loss

I can see where you could arrive at that conclusion.
I remain non-committal on his talent, simply because we didn't really see him this year. He didn't get a chance to improve or even get comfortable on the floor.
I guess time will tell, but maybe no fault if his own, he didn't do a whole lot for this year's team.
