This one is interesting. We've recruited so well here, but it's an unproven group besides Limmer and Latham.

they are going to be very good defensively this year

They (LSU) are already fighting among themselves.

Tackles have to be a big concern.

OL is definitely a question mark, but has the potential to be good (or at least effective).

Latham and Limmer are multi-year anchors with a ton of experience.

Crawford started a few games last year, including the Bowl game.

Braun had a considerable amount of experience at Florida. I don’t love that he was relegated to the bench last year, but we’ll see.

E’Marion Harris is a big dude and played down the stretch, and was a notable bright spot in the Bowl with regard to newcomers.

Chamblee and Kutas were both highly rated guys and backups much of the year (same for Harris) due to their youth, and Kutas played in every game in 2022 on special teams.

I really wish we still had catalon. Our bag men really dropped the ball on that one. Not very often we get all American talent at defensive back

That's a lot of money for one game a season.

I’m sure defensive coaching played a part in his departure as well. Maybe even more than money.

Same with Foucha, Brooks Jr, and probably Anthony Brown, Slusher

I think Catalon just wanted a fresh start at his home school. While it sucks, I can't blame him.

However, from a roster standpoint, the DB management has been a real head-scratcher with a mix of bad luck and poor roster management and coaching carousel.

From what I always read, Foucha and Brooks always wanted to play for LSU. They just weren't ever recruited by them when they were in high school. And they felt LSU was a better program--why else would a team captain leave?

When that home school is Texas, yea, I can absolutely blame him.

I mean, he was basically the face of our NIL for 2 years with his UAMS rehab commercials. Boy did those commercials age like milk.

Sort of odd having those on repeat throughout the season last year listening to how they helped him “get back on the field.”

Sam Carter was the problem according to the DBs dad.

Speculation Mbake might be out for the year after a knee injury during the scrimmage today
