False.
Devo has been one of the smallest guards on the roster during his time here, he is now one of the tallest guards on the roster.
That team won with with half-court defense. This team doesn't care enough to play defense.

Losing Gus Argenal after 2 great years to be a head coach at Cal State San Bernadino should not be overlooked. He was Muss's right hand man at Nevada too.
FWIW he has D2 CSUSB 19-5 in year 1.

Guard play is more important than the 4/5 spot.
This squad doesn't have the length to give space on the perimeter to defend the drive while still having enough length to close out on the three.
They are very slow laterally and unable to defend the drive without help, too small to fight over screens requiring help and eventual mismatches created with the help from the bigs.
Give me 6-6 to 8 guards and 6-9 to 11 bigs all day long over 6' guards and 7' bigs.

quote:yeah no shite I think everyone would take 6-8/6-9 players across the board. But hell even some of our better guards the past few years weren’t that tall. Maybe a wing player or 2. Elite 6-6/6-7 guards don’t grow on trees.

They don't have to be elite, we have plenty of them under muss outside of this year.
A 6' guard or two can work out fine, but you can't have your entire roster full of them, especially in the sec.

Come out of a timeout with 20 secs left and turn the ball over. Classic Muss.

We finally have a rotation of dudes whose primary concern is getting wins (for the most part).

Three of last 5 are winnable
Mizzou
Vandy
@Kentucky
LSU
@Bama
Pull a miracle and we would finish 18-13 9-9
I wont get my hopes up because this team has failed to show consistent hustle.

If you look at the last 7 games, we’ve played pretty well except for @LSU and the 2nd half vs Tenn. So 5.5 out of 7
Not saying we’re going to the ship but we’re definitely going to the ship

Getting hot later and later into the year. Eventually that's a ship right?

if the trend continues to the end... it must begin again at the beginning sooner or later... right?

I haven't bothered to keep up with it much because I think he was addition by subtraction but... What's the latest on TB's status? I do wonder if he could fit into the linuep now that Makhi has emerged

Nothing official I've seen, just game to game with knee soreness.
Somehow Brazile is still projected in the 20's of the NBA draft so he's probably shut down.
ESPN's latest mock draft from yesterday has him going to Utah.

Hogs haven't won two in a row since December..(12/16, 12/21, 12/30).
Next two opponents are a combined 15-36...surely we can get a win streak of 3 in a row.
