There is less ball movement and player movement when behind or when close and under 8 in the second half. Basically whomever brings the ball up the court at this time will either take a shot or turn the ball over the majority bof the time.

This has been a constant with all of Muss's team.

Against the zone its spread 4 dudes around the perimeter with the biggest guy shuffling the base line. One of the 4 rotates into the middle/the key to catch a pass and feed the cuts or turn around for a shot/feed the baseline shuffler.

Problem is none of the other 3 are cutting hard. When they get tired and/or lazy, the offense looks like absolute trash and it's just someone in the middle with the ball in a clogged lane that forces a shot or hope for a foul.

There seems to be a lack of consistent effort and concentration, which also feels like a constant with Muss teams. They buckle down when they get down or the game is close but are totally lax when we have any sort of a lead.

And an inability to run away with games against inferior teams and close games out. We constantly let teams back into games and just chalk it up to "its just a game of runs".

I get it, Muss will figure it out, but its tough to watch such a talented team play such poor basketball for a huge portion of the season. They've been practicing together for months.

Love how Devo and Mitchell are the exact same players they’ve always been.

Devo actually a worse shooter this year.

We always get beat by some random guy having a career game. David Jones, 14ppg goes off for 36.

The only gripe I have with Muss. Watching Marquette and UConn play beautiful basketball makes me jealous

If we can manage 2 wins it will still be a really good outcome for the tournament.

Villanova was a better matchup for us.

But playing UNC and Duke back to back is cool

The thing is I'm not really down on this team. We improved vs Stanford, then improved vs Memphis.

But it's going to really be tough to avoid losing the next 2 games.

Memphis is going to be really good

Memphis will be a higher seed, that conference now is just them and FAU.

I would love to see our guards get some assists. I’m sure we’re near the bottom of the ncaa in team assists. We have to work really hard for every bucket. Usually a guard trying to win a one on one matchup.

Technical fouls need to stop. We get at least one every game. This team has no reason to be cocky and mouthy.

On a positive note blocker is getting more comfortable every game. He’s gonna force muss to play him.

Devo seems to have an unlimited leash. Not sure he needs to get 35+ minutes every game.

The discipline is lacking for the team when something goes against them (refs). Some of that is from the antics of the HC but the players need to play through it.

My thing always with Devo - when focused he's good but it wanes and he then takes bad shots or throws inexplicable passes or turns the ball over.

Running the late game crunch offense is asking for bad decision making. I also understand what he's done for the program in the NCAA tournament games. It's a fine line.

I think 2hour basketball games are a thing of the past.

In the 6 games we've played, only one game has been 2 hours or less.
