I'm a big Walsh fan. He was my favorite of the 3 5* recruits, even knowing he was more raw than the other two. It's fun watching him become more polished game by game.

And missing the wide open look in the clutch. Not his game he shouldn't be taking that many.

Same for Walsh deep shots are not his game nor were they in HS. Shouldn't be taking 8 either.

Mostly disappointed in Council but I'm sure he'll bounce back he's got the experience. And should be a good FT shooter rest of the way hopefully.

As we've all said our length and defense will keep us in likely every single game down to the final few shots all year long. Shoot a little better and we're fine. Missouri should be ranked now coming into BWA Wednesday and then we're at Auburn 3 days later.

Unfortunately there’s just nobody else to take the shots when you’ve got Black and Council in the game. Neither are shooters. If NSJ doesn’t come back soon then we’ll HAVE to expand the lineup I think.

I disagree on this. He's not a great shooter but he can knock them down. I think he has to shoot it when the defense is giving it to him, just to keep forcing them to defend the perimeter. His shot selection has been way better than Devo, who forces too many early in the shot clock

We miss Brazile so much and I'm afraid that's a hole we aren't going to be able to fill.

Walsh is not a deep threat or deep shooter. Just like in HS he was a very poor shooter and raw as all hell offensively. It's all they worked on with the kid.

He had taken 8 three point attempts total the last 6 games.

I don't know what else to tell you.

Brutal game. Council 5-19, missing free throws and his decision to drive into 4 LSU players at the end killed us.

Would have rather lost the football game than lose to that marginal LSU team on the road.

Freshman are going to struggle with the big upper classmen around the league.

I'll give Black some slack though, apparently he had the flu.

Is Pinion really that bad on defense where we can't find 10 minutes a game for him and sit him in the corner?

I just don't understand it.

It's like Muss hates recruiting and playing guys that can shoot.

It's like you said, Muss is defense first. It's a good sign for Pinion that he got thrown out there for a little bit. I think Muss is going to give him some chances

I get it. It's why we're in almost every game and always make it a game.

Last night was screaming for something different to bust the zone up and it just never happened.

We've been spoiled winning almost every game like that under Muss.

I think it’s more of a sign that nothing was really falling from what I seen. Didn’t really see Jalen Graham either, but I missed quite a bit with the football game.

Graham came in and threw a pass out of bounds then immediately sat back down. It's sort of hilarious how short a leash Muss has with his non-starters.

Those leashes are short, seems like you’d be trying to build confidence with them dropping like flies. Better to build it now than pray it’s there in March.

Maybe. I’m not going to 2nd guess Muss as long as he keeps having the success we’ve had the last 2 years

Mikhai had a good game, too.

I don't understand how Muss works. The one thing I know is that he'll have them ready before the postseason begins. The things he does before then make little sense to me, but I'm sure there's some logic to it.

Just unfortunate both AB and RCIV had bad games. Really ended up costing us.

I'm not concerned. Just one game.

This is the time each season as far back as I can remember we start the conference schedule rough. We have more freshman than usual playing and play a tough defensive style prone to fouling. The fact we still only lost by 3 despite iffy fouls and bad shooting should be reason to not freak out. I'm more concerned with the continuing FT and 3PT percentages.

Fortunately I don't think anyone is freaking out.

Just frustrated to drop one to a pretty average LSU team.

And as mentioned before, we have been spoiled under Muss, generally winning all of those close games.

SDSU earlier this year was a prime example.

Deep down I was hoping this might be a 30 win team that wins the SEC and gets a 1-2 seed. I would have taken that even if it meant a second or third round tournament exit. Still possible but things just aren’t lining up quite as perfectly as they could have.

30 wins without the #1 recruit in the country and what looked like a sure lottery pick was going to be a huge reach.

This team can still make a run no doubt though. Ceiling is probably a bit lower right now.
