I miss Notae. No one on this team seems to be able to get a bucket when we need it. JD would jack one from 30 them boom.

Journalist is being dramatic for sure, you can hear the assistant say “get that out of his face,” then he puts his hand up and the phone falls. The assistant caused him to drop his phone yes, but he didn’t “grab it and throw it to the ground.” There’s no time for that in the video.

Call it copium, but it's nuts that with our shite injury luck and blown leads, we are still probably making the tournament as a single digit seed. Even more crazy this is a "bad" season. A far cry from the Mike years (which was when I was in college)

I’m sympathetic to the “at least we made the tournament in a bad year!” argument but at the same time, it’s hard not to look at the season as a disappointment based on expectations. I guess that’s what expectations get ya

Oh this season has still been disappointing. It's just crazy how far the program has come for making the tourney to be disappointing

You know, you have a great point.

We went from "Please Lord, help us to at least make the tournament... to, awww man, we are only a 8-9 seed after a mediocre season overall.

If you want to win then you must have high expectations.

I would say during the years that Mike Anderson made the tournament, frustration was boiling from his inability to make a run in the NCAA tournament. It was so frustrating that it took him years to make it to the big dance.

We got boned a few times with Mike as coach. His second year we were about to host the NIT but it didn’t pan out. Three teams we beat made the NIT but we didn’t, Kentucky, Tennessee and Robert Morris. For whatever reason we got left out with 19 wins.

His third year was when we beat Kentucky twice and still didn’t make it in to the tournament at 22-12. That Kentucky team went on to the national championship game.

Mike is a lazy recruiter, otherwise he’d still be here and wouldn’t have just been fired from St. John’s. I’ll be rooting for him at his next stop though.

We were always sweating the tourney because Mike padded the schedule with trash and we got punished for it on selection Sunday. That shite was infuriating.

Kind of like Muss continuing to play multiple players 35+ minutes the entire year, stall ball with one of the worst half court offenses I’ve ever seen, unwavering commitment to zero switch man defense and us blowing second half leads like it’s going out of style.

Mike got his fair shot here but Muss needs to correct that shite asap or everyone will start turning on him within the next year. Another season of this and you can bet your arse our fans forget 2 elite 8s real quickly. Once we’ve tasted blood…

Muss has been coaching like he's distracted the entire back half of this season..

Not going to assume anything. Or he's just gassed from this team being frustratingly uncoachable.

It's certainly his job to figure it out but he's human and not a miracle worker. Can see how this team would drive John Wooden insane.

My biggest gripe has been the lack of flexibility and the recruiting choices. But I guess at the end of the day he takes a big risk playing Graham and Pinion, it falls flat vs the less risky "keep doing what you're doing and hope it works out/gets better". As far as recruiting, the Ford, Dunning and Pinon schollies collectively are a total head scratcher at this point. This team would be completely different if 2 of those were veterans. 1 versatile with size and 1 shooter.

End of the day, there is nothing worse to me than losing to Oats and effin Buzz Williams. Any other teams or coaches besides those two.

There's a lot of good coaches in the conference now.

Muss
Pearl
Oats
Buzz
Calipari
Barnes
Jans

Soon to add
Porter Moser
possibly Chris Beard

These are all top tier coaches. 9 of of them in one conference. It's going to be a battle to be consistently near the top

yeah sure would’ve been nice if he’d recruited someone like that.maybe even someone who’s versatile with size and can shoot too! Maybe even take him from a conference foe, like Missouri. Yeah too bad miss didn’t recruit anyone like that

Fair point. Don't need to beat a dead horse, just wish 1 of those 3 schollies had been utilized with any kind of contribution.

Hate this but hate it less after watching Texas destroy them. Is Self alright and that one dude who has been out?
