don’t really disagree. But it just feels like he can somewhat handle the ball

His weakness is he doesn’t see his cuts. I’ve seen him miss a ton of wide open Gus cutting to the basket. He missed Wade twice tonight.

We made a living running those type plays with Smith.

This offense needs to go through it’s most talented player, Jaylin Williams. Notae dribbling up top for 20 seconds then dribbling over to the elbow where Jaylin and Umude or Toney are both there to set a screen is the definition is stupid.

Each time down the floor the ball should hit Jaylin’s hands at the free throw line or on one side of the lane. This gives the offense options for cutting along the baseline or kicking the ball back out.

Muss continued to direct the same death sentence if an offense all second half and that was exactly what Buzz wanted us to do. They ran that same zone press down the floor to eat up 7-9 seconds of the shot clock. Once across mid court Notae then dribbles for 10-15 seconds and that leave you scrambling and taking bad shots.

Was damn annoying

what you wrote was succinctly correct. Thinking about it, that was the scheme we used all evening with JD.. .then Lykes, Lordy mercy!

He just goes crazy with the ball. Anyone miss Muss being at home yet?

Good news is we have the two worst teams in the Ole Miss, WV, and Georgia the next. Three games.

Bad news is the rest of the schedule is murderers row.

Net is 53 this morning on Warren Nolan. Also, absolutely cannot lose road game at Ole Miss or road game at Georgia. Two terrible NET teams.

If we can pull it off and be 18-5 when Auburn comes to town, that would be ideal. Need that WVU OOC win to make up for a bad OOC loss. Plus, the last 5 games on the schedule will be tough.

It’s 100% fricking okay to not be damn rosie all the time.

Holy hell…Some of you jump off a damn cliff if anyone says anything bad about a damn coach.

- The offense was abysmal in the second half
- Lykes never needs to see the floor again
- Muss has a habit of trying to take the air out of the ball way to fricking early.

It’s fricking okay to be critical of coaches…You certainly didn’t mind when Anderson was here. So why change now? No coach is above criticism, and criticism doesn’t mean someone wants a coach fired.

Stop being a damn snowflake.

I got told I was not a fan earlier for even suggesting Muss might feel some pressure if he didn't turn around this season and then had a mediocre result next season with 2 lottery picks on the roster

I’m not so sure he doesn’t say that and JD just ignores him.

And given the fact he has no other option to run the point that can manage to dribble up the court, he doesn’t have much of a choice.

All issues somewhat created by himself though.

No clue why KK and Jaxson didn’t get some PT last night. They cannot be any worse defending than Lykes and Davis. It’s baffling why Lykes sees the floor whatsoever. He can’t play in the SEC.

Ridiculous we’re even having this uphill battle conversation. All we had to do was not lose to Hofstra and Vandy at home and we’re firmly in the dance at this point with the ability to drop some tough games down the stretch.

Rattled off 4 in a row and we’re still firmly on the bubble.

Always have to make it difficult.

I'm not saying you ARE Tommy Craft, but those words you just are extremely similar, some might even say exactly, to what he said.

I feel bad for Lykes. Seems like his bad play has really gotten to him. Those free throws were brutal

In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, the LadyBacks have managed to win a few here and there, and are threatening to climb out of the cellar.

Up 20 on State with 3 left. Completely different team last week or so.

I really wish Muss would play Jaxson more.

He's the only spot up guy on the team.

If we were to play him, our other guards would have more open lanes to drive.

The only reason I can think Muss won't play him is that his defense isn't up to par.

I think Muss has kind of accepted that we will for the most part always be a fairly weak and inconsistent team from deep. Seems like he is ok sacrificing that and going full into the bigger line up that can defend and rebound. While Jaxson could be great helping the team from deep, I believe it is just a half measure that won't really fix our issues.

Hard to argue with the line up changes since the Mizzou game as well.

Having said that, this team is going to be hard capped on the ceiling if they continue to remain this poor overall from deep.

Yeah they'll be lucky to make it to the round of 32 no matter who they play if they actually do make the NCAAT

It is a little crazy when considering what spot we are in currently with what we shoot from deep.

Of the 6 high major programs that shoot less than 30% from deep, Oklahoma St and Arkansas are the only ones with winning records. Oklahoma St barely passes that mark as well.

On the other side of the coin, we are 2nd in the league in Defensive efficiency in league play. Some of that is due to who we have played but its clear we have done a better job on that end.

On paper the line ups we have used the last three games seem like strange fits but it has been working.

For the people who want lykes to stay off the court as much as possible, keeping Devo coming off the bench helps with that. JD and his fouling issues are causing the problem with having to play Lykes more.
