Musselman relies too heavily on transfers to be successful at Nevada. He'd have to actually learn to recruit high school kids if he were to come here. We don't need another OTJ training here.

Porkatarian out...

He posted this a couple days ago and hasn't been seen since.

Which is why I said you can mark KS off the list
He's like the Kige of coaching searches

Seriously though, that place Anytime someone provides "news" 15 people chime to say "that's not what pork said"

That’s because to be competitive at a school like Nevada you can’t win with HS talent.

Common sense why G5 and lower schools have to get transfers and JUCOs,

I went through some of tarditarians old coaching search posts a while back. 0% success rate but Lanny Beavers still got him as a mod. That place is a joke.

Wonder if Duckman has anything on the search that would promote his wife’s failed singing career.

This is a concern but its not like he hasn't recruited a high level kid before. He grabbed a McDonald's All American last year. Of Nevada's top 10 recruits since 2002, he has credit for 6 of them.

The bigger concern is his roster management. He has had a number kids move on and not work out during his tenure.

Good news is that he is highly respected on the actual coaching side.

I would be fine with Musselman, but I feel like he’s waiting on LSU to dump Wade

Musselman has been one of my top 5 guys for a while. I wouldn’t be disappointed in the least.

He has won 76% of his NCAA games.

Agreed, he was 5th on my list because of the concerns above but he has a great background. Love the stuff I have read from NBA players regarding his coaching and notable coaches had positives about him as well. He really preaches having an offense that fits the players than trying to force certain players into a defined offense.

The winds seem to really be favoring musselman now. I'm not that high on him, especially with the names initially thrown about

Marshall and even the NMstate guy I'd probably like way more.

Yeah, I'd rather have Marshall over him as well.

We’re just discussing right now, nobody is reporting Musselman or anything, just discussing Biddy throwing doo doo against the wall

Marshall for sure but I'd have Jans further down my list

Not sure if it is true but saw someone mention that his wife's family is from Little Rock

Looks like Buzz to A&M could be announced tomorrow. VT fans have been flight tracking and believe that Marquette's Steve Wojciechowski is his replacement.

Oh boy, reports are circulating that Buzz Williams has stepped down as Virginia Tech basketball coach. Has been rumored to be in the running at Texas A&M.
