Its probably not going to happen, but I'd love love love to see 26 and 22 get some carries and have breakout games.

Run game has to be a big factor for Bama. I'd like to see us do what Ole Miss did...gash them all night long.

Defensively we need to manhandle their O line. Stop the run. Get after Daniels consistently.

Bama wins easily if these things happen.

Do we keep a spy on their qb or take chances with different blitz packages? Kind of worried on the deep ball, rb on wheel routes and of course the te's releasing late in the middle.
I think our offense will be fine but I would like to see the freshman get some meaningful carries. I think they could be the game changers in the 2nd half. Also I hope to see some designed qb runs.
It sure wouldn't hurt my feelings to see someone else returning punts....we can't give up field position by letting the ball hit the ground!!

Blitz but pressure where it collapse around him and do it fast. We want to force him to make decision even faster. They are more dangerous on 3rd down.

Wouldn't it be hilarious IF - the game came down to a Ref making a call in our favor?

Contain their QB on D. Trust the secondary to make plays.

Attack the perimeter with Jalen and get it to RBs in space. Likely a good game ahead for TE and the slot due to the inexperience in their secondary. Safe and efficient, balanced offense will be enough.

Capitalize on drives for points. Bama will need TDs, not FGs. LSU is too dangerous.

Win the turnover battle. And I hope STs keep playing solid.

He's averaging about 65 yards per game rushing but had 99, 130, and 93 against Ole Miss, Mizzou, and Auburn, respectively.

I'd love to see the defense hold him below 40 yards rushing (not counting any potential sack yardage).

Run the ball. Force the safeties to come up in run support so you can stress the inexperienced, 3rd string, freshmen cornerbacks they’re going to be using all game.

I like Burton and Bond’s chances against their secondary if they’re having to play run support. Points can be had there.

On defense it’s gotta be sound. If you find yourself getting beat for a big play, don’t let it be a TD. Even if it means committing an egregious PI, take the penalty and regroup. Anytime we hold them to FGs that’s a win. Also need to force a turnover or two

For the love of God don’t put Koolaid at PR

I will be shocked if they can do this for a bulk of the night

Offense: control possession (TOPball as I call it), ball security (1 or less turnovers), red zone efficiency (TDs over field goals on effective drives).

Defense: get off the field on 3rd down, discipline pressure that affects throws from their QB, get at least two takeaways.

Special teams: do not let Nabors get free explosive plays on special teams, try to get a punt block or big return for hidden yards to help offense.

Overall: got to keep their offense off the field to deny rhythm, must win turnover battle, will require clean - or nearly clean - card from offense without exceptional effort from defense and special teams.

—frustrate Harold Perkins. he is the defensive leader. neutralize him!

—block Maason Smith

—cover and tackle Malik Nabors. most of his 8-15 yd catches end up being 25-50 yds

—get pressure on Daniels without blitzing. when he scrambles, bust his arse!

—bama OL plays their best game so far

—get the TEs more involved in the passing game

—run right at the lsu front seven. bama is not going to beat them to the edge very much. use every RB we have if necessary.

—no mental penalty flags!

He's been a massive disappointment this season.

—block Maason Smith

So has Smith.

Doesn't matter what their name on the back is if you don't tackle well.

—get the TEs more involved in the passing game

Why? Their corners are literally 3rd stringers and backup safeties.

No penalty flags period would be nice.

Milroe must play vastly better than his last performance in a night game at home.

Their QB MUST be contained on 3rd down. Giving up QB runs consistently on 3rd & 5+ will be a killer.

Red zone. We must play by 7’s while holding them to FG’s.

No turnovers or penalties on offense. Defense must force turnovers and penalties on LSU offense. Home crowd could make a big difference!

Revised

Offense-Dominant pass protection and run blocking. No penalties

Defense-Pressure the QB and stop the run

Special Teams-Get punt returns for a change with a new PR

Add a little creativity to the run game.

Outside zone / read option with 22 at RB. Read the back side DE - give it to Haynes or pull it and run outside the other direction with Milroe. That call would get the DL/LB running sideline to sideline both direction and tire them down.

Jet sweeps to Law and a forward facing jet sweep with a back side read for Milroe.

Double tight screens. Haynes to one side and Niblack to the other.

Put massive pressure on the DE's which would help slow them crashing with pass rush so hard and fast. I would love to see this game be a coming out party for Haynes like the LSU game was for Shaun Alexander in 1996.

Would love to see Haynes get some meaningful touches and Law as well. I am not sure if it is pre determined calls or Milroe doesn’t read it well cause there have been several instances where the DE crashed and he gave it anyway. Bryce did the same thing to be fair.

Agree with bear and twist - really hoping we come out of the bye week with some new wrinkles in the run game. Specifically would love to see Law more involved, Milroe with more designed runs and more outside runs with the kids (Jam and Haynes).
