Yes, Battle screwed that up. Retained Grant after he went like 13-18.

I was told by someone in the AD office that Saban nixed any Pearl talk. Not in a way that they asked for his input, but more that he made it known he didn't want him in the same building.

Lets allow this season to play out before we get out the pitchforks. Basketball teams ebb and flow. Sexton was our entire offense last year.

Pearl- Great coach. I tip my hat to him for that. But DO NOT WANT! The Vols always make a big deal out of the barbecue stuff and that he lied but I’m convinced that wasn’t the real reason for the issues, but that’s what the NCAA had enough evidence to make stick. Pearl is as dirty and sleazy as he is a good coach. He hides it well, but he’s very sleazy.

We are. If gymnastics, men’s and women’s golf and softball can win NCs, we sure as hell ought to be competitive and even snifff Final Fours in basketball, at least a couple of times a decade. Hell, even Dan Waters has T&F competing at a high level (SEC Indoor champions and T5 in Outdoor NCAAs this year).
I’m not just a football fan. I’m a Bama sports fan. Mediocrity in a major sport like basketball should be unacceptable at the University of Alabama.
