I was wrong about the defense. They are not elite. They play hard but have too many talent gaps to be elite.

I'll assume you're smart enough to understand when teams have a bye week or spend the entire summer gameplanning for what they feel is a big game and the difficulties that bring for a defense to figure out the new scheme or play and adjust to stop it.
Kentucky is a good team. We gave up 17. SC has a explosive offense. We gave up 18.
Again, you're a prisoner of the past. Even the great Kirby smart gave up 17 to Arkansas but you don't seem to think they have problems.
Miss State gave up 34 to South Carolina... that is double the points we did but you seem so fixated on being negative and projecting how you think on the team. That's you, not this team.

Nope, nobody clearly better. We've still got work to do, but we're certainly in the fight. Lot of wars coming up.

Last year QBs were still throwing at ZB2 for some reason. He has shut down half of the field this season. DL5 is being targeted because there's an NFL ready corner on the other side of the field.

Apparently so is Tamu and that really shocks me. The stars seemed to have aligned for A&M to be one of the most talent rich programs in football and they still manage to not be able to handle being a contender

Uga has great TEs. They have very little at WR.
What hasn't been tested is their defense.
OU was about to make it 14-7 until Mateer fumbled. OU packed it in after that unforced error.
KR12 makes that play. Gotta kick Uga in the teeth early.

I will reserve my opinion until after the Geogia game. If we win or play them tough, we got a real shot. I am happy with my bet to win it all at 25 to 1. Made that bet based on my presumption that the SEC is weaker than normal and we would make the playoffs. That appears to be a blatantly wrong reason, since only 2 or 3 teams outside the SEC appear to be competitive with the top one third of the SEC. Florida stepping up really helped the SEC strength. Are they that good?
