Saban has never started 1-1 at Alabama. He’s never lost at home by double digits. This is unprecedented

Consequences of hiring an idiot as your OL coach and an uncreative guy who can't develop QBs or call a game as your OC.

Our defense has basically eroded to such a sad state as well.

I think most fans were concerned about the QB situation, only the sunshine pumpers were high on Milroe.

What surprises me is the defense! I thought that it could carry us to the playoffs .

Now it’s not unreasonable to see a 4 loss season. Milroe can’t win the game with his arm and the defense is suspect

coming to think of it... all of CNS success has been so much to do with right assistants and he has a bad combination past few years.

Cant figure the OLine coach? coaching or lazy talent

No defense in college football can carry a team to the playoffs. The defense is fine.

Texas got the ball out quickly to avoid pressure, look at Ewers drops, 3 step drops at most.

Y'all (some of y'all) don't understand defenses get tired when they're on the field the majority of the time. The defense kept us in the game.

Wait…so are you saying that the duration of physical exertion is somehow tied to fatigue? Is that really true? Is that why you often see football players sweating and breathing heavy, and drinking lots of Gatorade out of those squeeze bottles?

Eh, I am not sure that having a down year and producing a team that isn't dominant means that we aren't a dominant program. There's a lot of change happening within the organization and Nick Saban sells himself ad a rebuilder. We could come out swinging the next 3-5 years or so until he retires.

Definitely takes more than 2 games to fix a 2 year culture decline, but we better find a QB that can start to develop for the rest of the season and for next year. Don’t need to be thinking we’re starting a freshman QB next year. We struck out on getting the piece we needed to win a NC this year, although I think Buchner has a chance to make this team very competitive.

Saban, without above average coordinators, and without his requirement to make the opponent quit, has taken us to where we are now. It’s been a hell of a ride and I love him for it, but he has lost what it takes to win championships anymore. He, with his coordinator hires, has doomed us to mediocrity.

We're going to the playoff this year and next year starts the 12-team playoff. Saban will not retire before the 12-team playoff year of 2024.

Texas finally won a big game, BFD. And they have a good QB but he didn't get pressured either.

Our team has a lot to work on but we're still a dog in the hunt.

I think the defense is fine. What did we expect with new coordinators? I can tell even after a big loss the future is looking brighter than Pete Golding. Give Steele and the players some time. I’m honestly disappointed that we don’t have a competent QB.

A lot of people are either clueless or in denial. Bama just gave up 450 yards at home in the worst loss since Shula, and now for the first time since before 9/11 Auburn has a better record after 2 games than Alabama.

The offense just scored two touchdowns at home.

Nothing is being fixed. It’s still the same team as last year but worse in every way except WR, and those went from bad to mediocre.

This team is not done losing and not done losing in ways we’re not used to seeing. The longer people come to grips with this the worse the program will get.

So still having faith in our dudes this season will negatively affect the program going forward? K

How we feel about the team this season will have absolutely zero affect on the program.

I'm talking about guys like Greg Byrne. People that make the decisions about the program need to expect more out of the program.

I sure hope Greg Byrne doesn't think that Saban has earned the right to stay as long as he wants and can leave on his own terms. Screw that. No one has the right to run an organization into the ground because they *used* to be the reason the organization was successful.

I have not felt this hopeless about a Bama team since Saban has been here. I don't know what has happened over the last 2 years but Bama ain't Bama anymore.

I think people suspected this could happen.

I didn't. In fact I stupidly went against everything I know and predicted we would win big.

Never again

I had a feeling it would go down to the end of the game or it was going to be a loss. I remember Milroe starting last year. It wasn't great.
