Would Grubb take a HC position in college?

You know he is going to get some offers at some point.

All coordinators at major schools want to be a HC.
Even guys who should stay coordinators like Boom and Venables end up taking jobs because they're offered to them.
Grubb has the #6 FEI offense in the country right now, if we stay on track guarantee he gets some solid offers after the season, same with Kane.
There will be some solid openings likely at places like FSU, Baylor and Wisconsin. If we make a run its almost a guarantee we have to hire one if not two new coordinators during the offseason IMO.

I think he will but a lot depends on how far Bama goes this season. If Bama wins at least two playoff games, I wouldn’t be surprised if schools like Syracuse or maybe Baylor might look at him.
(Yes, I know neither of those schools have fired their coaches yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did)

No doubt he will. I would say if I'm hiring the guy I'd be worried about his temperament, but if Will Muschamp got several coaching jobs, I guess anybody can.

Clearly he’s not a cultural fit in Tuscaloosa. He literally looks and sounds uncomfortable just talking to the press. He’s a West Coast/Pac12/NFL guy. No way he’s still here in two years.

Granted the easy thing to point to for him bailing from Tuscaloosa the first time is "He had the NFL call. He had to answer." But in reality, two things can be true at the same time. There were rumblings his wife had major reservations about moving to the South and if "mama" ain't happy, nobody is going to be happy. So, it wasn't a very hard decision when the NFL gig opened up, it could have been a well timed life line for him. But when he got fired in Seattle, maybe Tuscaloosa didn't look as bad compared to the other choices he may have been staring at.
But it does come across as there may be a cultural compatibility issue with him and Tuscaloosa.

With coordinators getting paid $2 million a year, I'd be content with that role...but pretty sure he's looking for a decent west coast opportunity...head coach at Fresno St or something like that.
