Honestly I've been seeing a lot of people say this today. Take off the crimson colored glasses and somebody explain to me why? What can he do at Bama he can't do at Clemson? Plus there is a clip of Clemson playing Sweet Home Alabama in their locker room after the Championship.....in which he allowed.

Don't be angry, I'm cheering you on. Fill the whole front page up with your deep thoughts. It's very enlightening

There is no reason for him to leave. He’s on the verge of an empire that he built. Four straight playoff appearances and two titles in three years with more on the way.

Might get tired of being at Clemson, has already been there 11 years.

Might want the challenge of being the HC at Bama.

Might want the challenge of coaching in the SEC.

Might want to come home.

What more does he have to accomplish at Clemson?

That is exactly why so many fans dislike Bama fans. Their arrogance that they think they can just choose any coach they want and he will come running. Why go for Dabo. Go for Belichick.

Well for one Dabo played at Alabama. Is from Alabama. And spent nearly a decade as an assistant at Alabama. But yeah, other than that.

That being said it was highly unlikely after his first title that he would leave Clemson. Almost no chance now.

Yeah, it certainly doesn’t have anything to do with him being an alum. There’s no way that is the reason people think he might come, it’s just that Bama can get whoever they want. You’re lucky Orgeron sucks or he’d be in Tuscaloosa

How many LSU fans will choke on gumbo if Dabo decided to take the Bama job? They'd still be trying to convince themselves that Coach O will win something

Either way, make sure Dabo gets paid. Honestly, I hope our AD does this bluff and Clemson will be forced to pay out of their nose for Dabo. Meanwhile run a real coaching search.

Alabama is the only place he'll go. He's a lifelong Alabama fan. I'm reasonably sure it's dream job. Or it was at one time in his life.
A couple of non-championship years at Clemson, he'd be willing to take the Bama job.
It's all going to come down to timing. Further, I think Saban will try to pick his successor, and if he feels Dabo is the guy, Dabo would probably come.
Curious as to how Stallings could influence Dabo, though.

Lol - Stallings is still bitter about the way he was shoved out the door.

Dabo's mom still lives down here too. That's a big factor. People want to bitch and moan and act like it would never happen, but I think there's a very good chance that he would come. If he doesn't I bet we don't end up with someone as bad as Coach O

Wasn't too bitter to castigate Franchione when Gene was the Texam Board.
