Why didn’t we feed our RBs more?

When Georgia adjusted in the 2nd half and took away the edges, that should have opened up the inside running game but we never tried to feed our RBs and establish them to take advantage…why?

Milroe had several opportunities to hand it off to the RB up the middle or on a sweep, but kept it and tried to run outside when UGA sold out to shut that down.

The thing that frustrated me was snapping it with so much time on the clock. It was infuriating.

Yes clock management was poor and I put that in CKD. Your QB doing that on a play is one thing but he didn’t seem to be telling him anything about snapping ball with 20 seconds n the play clock. Bleed clock if for nothing else to get the defense a break.

There are times where he keeps it and it feels a bit like hero ball where he tries to do it himself. The sweep to Bernard that he wrestled back felt like that

When the score gets tight is generally when I’ve felt it happens, like he’s trying to do too much

Great question. Jam Miller was perfectly suited for last night’s game. He should have gotten more touches. That touchdown pass he had was incredible.

Yea I understand wanting to keep a flow on offense but you have to milk some clock there especially when the defense was tiring and giving up chunk plays.

Honestly I don’t think they expected Georgia to keep converting fourth downs. So they kept trying to play like Georgia would score off the occasional breakaway play or they would get the ball back more

Never? You don't remember the multiple runs that ended in short gains?

You don't remember the easy conversion missed because Jam went horizontal?

Jam and Justice had 11 carries for the whole game. Justice was getting. 4 or 5 yds everytime he ran it.

The Jam bouncing outside when he had the 1st and Justice not getting up field on the late 3rd down play sucked tho.

I was wondering if they wanted the ball snapped before they lost communication with him at the 15 second mark? Seems ridiculous, but he kept snapping it with 20 seconds left on the play clock. They could've easily told him to run it all the way down on his headset or between plays.

I couldn't agree with this more. We have 2 very talented backs. If Georgia came back and won we would all be sick this morning and most of us would all look to clock management as the culprit.

DeBoer will adjust I’m sure but the 4 minute offense was needed last night.

Have to admit both RBs got opportunities on short yardage situations and went down pretty easily.

Players not pushing to get to sticks bothers me, I feel it happens across football. I feel like it is a fear of getting hurt thing as my best guess.

Even on the sidelines, guys extend the ball but they don't make sure they don't step out of bounds before the balll crosses the line or just push the ball OT and then move it back.

I feel like we have missed on more than a few first downs throughout this season just by not attacking the sticks.

The play where Haynes came up short was pitiful. Instead of just powering through for a yard to the line to gain, he hesitated and kinda winced up and thr defender was able to stop him. Dude is a big, strong, powerful back. He's gotta do better than that.

Agree, Milroe gets selfish at times.

You don't understand football.
Sometimes when you get so uptight about the clock, the offense plays uptight. It's one more thing to worry about.

Sometimes on offense, you just need to relax and execute. Tempo is huge.

It's fricking crazy to me how much criticism there is after beating one of the top 3 teams in the country in a HUGE game, and Kalen DeBoer's SEC debut.

The guy is 108-12. I think he knows a few things about winning football games, but we have so many fricking morons on here who think they know better. If you're such a football genius, go make it happen. Become an SEC head coach and win the national championship. Go and beat Kalen DeBoer head-to-head with your flawless clock management

As great as the win was, it wasn't a perfect game (perfect first quarter)...plenty to learn from.

Also, up by only 6 with 4 1/2 minutes left isn't the time to burn clock then. In that scenario you'd better be in attack mode.

No one said he’s a bad coach but when your defense is struggling and on the field the entire second half and your offense is on the sideline you have to take time off the clock. That’s what Georgia did was keep our offense on the sideline. Perhaps I know more than you think I do. I really do not understand the softness of some of the fans on this board when people don’t gush over every game and make a criticism.
