We know the run defense will be tested greatly since we play Wisconsin, Arkansas, Georgia, and LSU (Clements, Williams, Chubb and Fournette, what a group of RBs!)

So we'll know right off the bat if this defense is physically tough or soft.

I know A&M will test our secondary, but who else on our schedule will be a legitimate test for them?

Here's one thing though, if we make it to the playoff, no RB from any team (in the playoffs) will scare this defense.

This year I could have challenged the secondary.

Auburn, ole miss, miss st, and tamu will prove to be difficult if we don't get our act together.

We face some tough RBs but the receivers on the schedule are pretty solid too.

Treadwell/Engram at OM
Wilson at MSU
Williams at Auburn
Dupre at LSU
Noil and RSJ at A&M
UT has a solid WR corps.

The Hurd kid at UT is pretty good as well. UGA always seems to have a balanced offense, and I expect them to be strong offensively again this year. Having a Chubb-caliber running back always helps a passing attack. 2014 was a very frustrating year pass defense-wise for Bama players, coaches, and fans alike. I expect our defensive secondary to be much improved against the pass in 2015.

I really hope so but I'm going to have to see it to believe it. The third and long problem started in 2012 and has gotten progressively worse each year.

Agreed, but I'm hoping the new DB coach hire makes a big difference.

Auburn for sure.

Tamu like you said.

That's really the only two that will for sure test us.

No on is going to "scare" our defense, but they will definitely have something to prove against Ezekial Elliot if they face him again.

Were going to always get challenged as long as we play this type of defense and coach Saban teaches them not to track the ball but rather wait until the WR catches it then try to strip it out. Makes the bad deep ball undefendable IMO.

unfortunately big plays vs our secondary have bcome da norm lately. B. Sylve should've had 2 ints vs WVU if he turns his head around. I believe Hootie Jones n D. Thompson r our next Mark Barron and R. Lester

If we play like we did this past year, they won't need one. Maty Mauk didn't have a great year and he torched us on 3 or 4 plays for 40+ yards just scrambling and throwing a long jump ball...and for some reason, otherwise nondescript QBs seem to have career passing days against us...

I think it will be a while before Thompson plays. Kid is small as hell.

That trend needs to end (QBs having big days against us)

I want us to get back to physically punishing QBs

Hopefully not just any team willing to throw deep prayers...for the 3rd straight season.

Saban is no longer the DB coach. He seems to have given that job to Mel Tucker.

He did good with that rookie CB from V Tech they had last year. As a 49er fan I know.

Not taking anything away from Mel Tucker because I don't know too much about the guy, but Kyle Fuller was a bad-arse at Va Tech and is super talented. He would have been really good anywhere he would have landed in the NFL.

I have a bad feeling we're gonna live or die with Eddie Jackson at corner again next year.

I fail to see why people think he's never going to regain his old speed. He was basically playing last year straight off an ACL tear. There are very few, if any, players who make a comeback like that.
