Marty Lyons was flagged for "giving him the business" on a play in the NFL

Lane Bearden was tough as nails and all Bama
Loved this guy, for awhile they had his knee brace on a pedestal with lights on it like a golden cow in the Bryant museum… that was awesome.
Also, anybody remember “Fishing with Tyler and Lane”… Tyler Watts and Lane Bearden fishing and talking games, it used to come on after the 10 o’clock news on Sundays, absolutely hilarious.

Should not have taken this long to reach this name.
Stacy Harrison (#1) comes to mind. I know Stan White remembers him.
Late 80s early 90s.

He was the first person who crossed my mind when I read the title.

I don't think people remember that he tried to retire and Saban asked him to please stay. He has a repetitive motion injury that makes it feel like someone is stabbing him in the back with a knife every time he kicks.
Volunteering to be stabbed in the back with a knife over and over and over for the sake of the team is some savage shite.

70’s- Rich Wingo was one mean SOB! Later become S&C coach , Barry Krauss, Woodrow and Eddie Lowe
80’s - Bennett, Thomas, Wayne Davis, Keith McCants
00’s- on- Demeco Ryans, McClain, Foster, Harrison, Anderson
For offense- Julio and D Henry

D. Thomas is the safest answer here. Additionally, I agree with the Reuben Foster nomination - the man had the most closing speed I've ever seen from a LB.
BUT, the dark horse that hasn't been mentioned: Mark Barron. The man would probably have less of an impact in today's flag football style game, but I don't think there was a single WR in the country that wanted to run across the middle of the field with him headhunting in the secondary!

John Hannah.
When Hannah led a power sweep around the end for the Patriots, opposing DBs bailed out.
