For the offense?
For the defense?
For the penalties?
For losing?

Today

He needs to spend more time looking for innovative coordinators than pimping shitty insurance nobody wants.

I get it, it sucks; but couldn’t this go into one of the other three threads with the same of similar topics?

You’ll find what you seek on BoL.

Saban is the greatest coach of all time…but he isn’t above criticism. The reasons we lost today weren’t surprises. They had been building for two years now. He can talk about platitudes and speak above the things relative to the players, but we’re now at the point where he needs to say it’s his responsibility to fix. The penalties, the most points scored in 100 years, etc. That didn’t come out of nowhere. We are supposed to be the “Gold Standard” of College Football but we are literally 3 plays away from being 4-3.

I’m not saying he needs to be fired or that I don’t appreciate what he has done for us. I am saying that there seem to be some fundamental issues that need to be addressed if we want to live up to the standards that he set for us.

Saban is unbelievably stubborn.

You can see it in his unwillingness to update the defensive scheme or techniques.
You can see it in his desire to put games in kickers’ hands.
You can see it in his reaction whenever anyone questions his decisions.

In reality, he should probably step away.
A good run defense isn’t very important anymore.

Saban isn’t the same as he used to be. Our teams haven’t been the same as they used to be. I haven’t seen Bama get bombed on like that in a long, long time. It’s heartbreaking to watch what we all know deep inside what’s finally happening.

We can blame Saban for all of it, but it doesn't matter, because he's the GOAT. We can second guess and criticize everything, but it's not like Saban will ever get fired, nor should he.

I don't understand why we can't seem to correct certain recurring things: not calling for fair catches on kickoffs (at least not until we get at least two half the distance penalties in a game), jumping offsides on hard counts instead of watching the ball or watching the Offensive Linemen, delay of game penalties, illegal motion penalties. I know you can't play a perfect game, but some of those things should be correctable.

I think Saban is fine. The issue is we have been hit with so many staff members being hired away. To think Saban can keep making homerun hire after homerun hire is unrealistic.

Why not something innovative? He's too slow to process like he did in 2015

Innovation wasn’t needed to win the game today. Running the ball to the middle of the field 3 times, forcing Tennessee to use their timeouts, and making the kick the last play of the game from the middle of the field was what was needed.

The sunshine pumpers will never let you blame anyone. They'll still be singing praises when we lose to Vanderbilt. But an honest person can see the direction of the program is sliding down. Saban has to step up and make changes or he is taking the program down with his lack of hunger to win.

No one should ever score more than 40 with the talent we have on defense. Hell 30

The head coach is always to blame; the buck stops there. Any good head coach will own it.

That said, Saban hasn't lost his desire to win. He hates losing more than you do. Because of this, he'll right the ship. He's not dumb or disillusioned. He sees the problems.

The problems aren’t new, he’s had enough time to make changes, but refused.

Yep. We have complained about Golding for years. I will admit he has gotten better but still.

Bill O'Brien has hurt this university and Saban is the one who hired even after BOB knowingly hurt the Texans franchise.

The guy is an absolute cancer we have to plan for every game.

I love how we waste a first down play on every set of new downs. Why do we keep running wr screens behind the line? Has even one worked yet? So why keep running the shite?
