Lose to Vandy. Outgained by SC and get out by the skin of your teeth. There’s too much talent on this team for the results we’ve gotten the last two weeks. What’s wrong? And more importantly can it be fixed?

Defense sucks and that puts tremendous pressure on the offense to play a perfect game. When they don't we get results like today.

Defense can't seal the deal and end drives.

Offense lacks consistency and rhythm. Lotta negative plays that kill drives.

Tons of stupid penalties and undisciplined play.

Coaching subpar.

Players don't seem committed to the team or system.

Shall I go on?

Unfortunately we found out the offense is almost as much of an issue. Turns out we're just a bad team.

When we blitz, we tend to have success

When we don’t, we get carved up

Wommack historically doesn’t blitz so it’s just not a good marriage right now

1. The offense wasn’t balanced at all till the final touchdown drive.

2. The defensive calls are too conservative given the inexperience of the secondary. Bama blitzes after the onside kick and we see good results.

3. The cornerbacks are too young and never find the ball.

The defense only gave up 20 points.

Our QB almost gave away that many points by himself

Hard to say who was worse. But I still blame the defense more as they got it started with the 10 minute long fricking drives and blown coverage td. Offense was right there with the suck along, but we're not gonna win shite if we keep letting the other team waste the entire clock every freaking game.

1. Saban quit

2. DeBoer and staff ain’t Saban

Edit…and I don’t blame Saban for quitting…he knew this was coming. NIL has changed everything.

Pretty much the only thing we can count on is our punter. Every other aspect of the team is mediocre or bad. If they’re good they can only be good for 2-3 drives at a time

Thanks to a holding call.

Agreed, but that’s what lack of offensive balance leads to when you have a QB that takes 5 seconds to make reads.

I’m not saying DeBoer & company are getting it done but we were a hair away from losing 3-4 more games last year.

Add in new players, a young secondary, new coaches etc and this is what we get.

Agreed. I just wanted a win. The days of excessive blowouts against SEC teams is over.

For us. We have an offensive mind coaching a traditionally defensive program.

It looks to me that our defense is always getting manhandled and out schemed. Is it our S&C program or lack of effort? We are not the baddest boys on the block anymore.

I believe NIL has contributed to a collectively crappy attitude from a number of the players. I’m convinced some of them take the attitude “I’ve got my money, so I don’t give two sh*ts about these games or this team.”

Combine with a completely incompetent defensive staff, we’re in trouble. The sad thing is, we’re more than likely stuck with Wommack for yet another season. I’m hoping CKD doesn’t have “the Mike Shula Syndrome” (ferocious loyalty to your assistants no matter how bad they’re hurting you.)
