Milroe continuing to be the best QB in the country and the linebackers making quicker decisions and being able to run free without being blocked at the point of attack every run play.

That’s really all I need.

I think the issues facing the team are vastly overblown.

Far away the best QB in the nation yet is trashed by the fat drunks on here

If we had the heralded Carson Beck and UGA had Milroe they would have beaten every team including us by 30 and we would have still lost to Vandy and probably even USF

I think it’s wildly unreported, by our fanbase and others/the media, how good Milroe is becoming.

Pretty much everything he threw last week was a missile, on time, to receivers numbers over the middle and to every other level of the field.

And when he looked deeper and to the sidelines he put the ball where only our guy could make a play on the ball nearly every time.

If he keeps THAT up, and the run defense figures some things out, people are going to look so dumb by the end of the season imo.

ETA: And am I crazy to think he’s becoming very comfortable with throwing lanes down the hashes and to parts of the middle of the field?

The way he’s been letting his receiver cross between defenders and hitting them in stride in those pockets is amazing considering how uncomfortable he was at times last season.

Where is anyone around here talking about this? I feel like a crazy person.

Instead everyone acts like losing to a middling team in a 12 team playoff era is literally the end of the season

Just curious ... where are you seeing people still criticizing Milroe? I'd ignore the in-game threads, because people type stuff in the heat of the moment. Otherwise, though, I don't recall the last time someone complained about Milroe.

No. He looks much more decisive and comfortable throwing to the open guy in the short and intermediate, which is why we are seeing a lot more TE targets that have been really productive.

Cam Ward is playing really well, but I don't think enough people are giving Milroe credit. He is playing at a level no Bama QB has ever played when you factor in what he can do with his legs. He's over pace for 3000 yards passing, 26 TDs and 700 yards rushing and 22 TDs in the regular season. If Bama were to make it to the SECCG (unlikely at this point) his production would be 3300 yards passing, 29 TDs with 750 yards rushing and 23 TDs.

He's got a shot to have 30 passing TDs and 20 rushing TDs. He is making every throw you could ever want.

Hey I'm very complimentary of Jalen's progress.

My man just look around this forum. If they aren't outright trashing him they are trying their best to place blame on him.

I will say many of our posters have joined the Milroe side; myself included

Okay, my bad. I definitely wasn't referring to you or any of the guys here who have (like myself) got behind Milroe.

It's that group of posters that always push the agenda

I love your post but I’m gonna chirp at you for this one

I should first ask how does a team even make it this season. Is it just the 2 best SEC records?

If so, Vandy sure as shite isn’t a threat and we’d have the tiebreaker against an SECCG favorite in Georgia.

Sure we have to win out but doesn’t every other team besides Texas?

I figure if you take a snapshot of the SEC race, Alabama is in favorable position aren’t they?

They’re everywhere.

Even positive threads are prefaced with, “even with Jalen being terribly limited, the offense is pretty solid..” And shite like that

Then you have all the takes about how he’s not even capable of improving, while we’re watching him play VERY well

ETA: And as far as I’m concerned, those people are not allowed to sit with the rest of us. Just take an L until he’s gone to the NFL and try again with the next QB.

Bamafan1953: Completely agree. I'd add that disrespectful behaviour by our captains at the coin toss. No class!

Milroe has all the tools. He can be great if he can be more consistent and protect the ball. My worry is the defense. Wommack could not figure out how to stop Vandy in 4 QTRS. Allowing Ga to erase a 28 point lead on top of last week erased the confidence I had in him. If DeBoer continues to allow more of the same it is on him.

Two things

Stop being predictable. With the game on the line we finally stopped and went with a jailbreak blitz, which they hadn’t seen and couldn’t handle. More changing looks and tendencies. On offense every DE knows exactly where Milroe will be on a passing down. Roll out, do something to move him around.

Toughness. NOBODY we ever played was mentally tougher, and few could match the physicality. We’re getting whipped up front. Part of that is again being predictable.

Vandy isn’t a bad team. I don’t care what their record ends up being.
