It’s Logan Thomas all over again
Logan Thomas was more of a Blake Sims situation. VT had shite talent at the position post Tyrod. Had he played TE in college, tech would've been so much worse than they were with him at qb. Dude ended up only attempting 11 nfl passes in 8 years, 9 being in year 1. Unless Milroe gets drafted to the 2013 jaguars, and gets to play backup offensive weapon behind denard robinson, there's not a 2nd position on the field for him... entirely unlike Logan Thomas.

Absolutely awful. I refuse to believe that Ty Simpson is any worse than him. Hey, the Birmingham Stallions will gladly take him when his brief NFL career ends. He would sell a lot of tickets.

You sure about that?

You could try, for us.

If Ty wins the job. Lights it up, duel threat, accuracy, confidence, protects the football, we'll be happy. But also, discouraged he didn't get an opportunity in 1 of Milroe's terrible games.

The comment section in that video is rough to read. There are some really ignorant people out there. So glad we will have someone else taking snaps in 2025.

Despite my gator tag name we are huge Bama fans first and foremost and I just cannot understand how he can be so bad? How hard is it to complete some passes, run a few yards after all these years of practice time, etc? I came to the conclusion that i don't think he was really working hard in practice or intentional about it because the only way you can be this bad is actually not practice the art of football itself. Maybe the concern over money and prestige got in the way of actual football skills.

ago @JakeJake-e8e bro the OL and receivers were not executing consistently all year long; hell even the coaches put us in bad situations with their bad game management skills. Milroe saved our season from being even worse than what it was.
Absolutely amazing how much he gets defended. These people got to be friends of his or something

It was same old same old. He is what he is.

He has a very large PR team working for him. They sit on social media platforms and message boards defending him. There’s no other explanation. Any objective person would say that he sucks.

And given the current rules and the friendliness of the court system to the players, they are going to continue to have that leverage. I would not want to be a coach right now, the thing about Nebraska’s spring game makes me SMFH, but it is what it is and coaches and fans are going to have to adapt and find a way forward.

The team’s attitude and lack of discipline on the field should tell you that the players had to much leverage is the nicest way I can put it.
You definitely noticed a drop off in the level of play shortly after NIL. Former players were even calling out the drop in standards compared to what it was as late as 2020.

Yeah I don’t know how someone can believe this. Look at Oklahoma specifically. I’ve never been one to blame a single player but damn.

I got into it with someone who said that same stuff verbatim on the BOL round table a year ago after we lost to Michigan. His PR entourage can frick right off.

Agreed. The stories of his work ethic were obviously bullshite. No one could work that hard for 4 years and never get even a little better.

I’ll be honest, it was telling that Dippre was the one chirping about work ethic while you never saw Milroe make a public statement about the team ever
That plus the whole walk around photoshoot he did while everyone else warmed up just makes me feel like he phoned it in this year

I’m glad I never have to see him in a Bama jersey again.
