Their defense seems tailor made to frustrate what Oats likes to do.

I think this was the sneaky landmine in the bracket.

Not between Duke, Miami, and St Mary's, they're not really any better or worse than the other 5s. But I did think this will be a defensive battle more like Maryland than tamu-cc. While I'd love cupcakes the whole way through. It's the tournament and that's unrealistic.

Arkansas calling SDS dirty and classless. That's funny. Muss is a loon that took his shirt off in front of the whole arena and swung it around like he was rebooting the Old School movie. And Arkansas can't say anything about another school playing dirty.

Theres a difference between that and having opposing fans running on the court trying to fight the team/staffers.

Sdsu coach waving at our players when he thought they were gonna win.

Right, they’re a 5 seed type team but I think they frustrate us more ON PAPER than the other 5 seeds tbh.

I spent a few hours back in the early 90s with a stripper who went to SDSU. She was pretty awesome. Couldn’t remember her name to save my life, but she had this heart necklace that dangled when she, um, did things. Oh to be young again.

Sorry, that’s all I have. Thanks for the trip down memory lane though.

Yeah, they can because they're very hard nosed and physical with their defense. Honestly, we're better and should be favorites but I was hoping of the 2 defensive teams the committee put at 4-5 seeds that Virginia came through instead of them.

Virginia chose to shite the bed against Furman. What a shame.

It's a pretty meaningless stat, but in road or neutral site games, both Alabama and SDSU have 5 losses vs Q1 opponents.

The difference is on the winning side. They have 3 Q1 wins in road or neutral games. Alabama has ELEVEN.

It's amazing that 16 of Alabama's 19 Q1 games this year happened outside of Colemen and they managed to win 11 of them.

One other thing that stands out about the Q1 games is that SDSU doesn't really blow teams off the floor (one exception at home against Boise State). Their 3 Q1 wins away from home (Utah State x2, New Mexico) are by a combined 9 points.

They still would've lost to SDSU. They've been slumping hard.

Some of that can probably be attributed to their pace of play. They like to play a slow, half-court kind of game. That limits possessions and thus an inability to easily pull away from teams. We will certainly try to play an uptempo game against them.

If we pop a couple quick threes all that slow pace of play will bite them in the arse.
