They got all the calls, all the bounces, played the best game they could play and still only won by 3. Do you think they get the bounces next time? I don't

Do they get all the critical calls again though?

Bama is young. Very young. They are getting better every week. Russell learned more tonight than he has in the first 5 games. As long as this team keeps their focus they will be playing their best ball in the post season.

Stockton was 18/22. The two times we affected the QB, he threw an INT, and a near INT.

We will lose another game with no pass rush.

No, they get their 2 best running backs back. They'll run straight through Womack's bullshite defense again.

I’m a bit confused why we didn’t send pressure more often and sat in man all night

UGA was missing two of their best RBs. Not that I think it would have mattered.

This game could go either way anytime we play them.

Not being a smart arse but what kind of defense would be better? I still believe we are missing some pieces to be considered elite. Especially up front and #5 is not a CB.

I think our talent on defense just leaves a lot to be desired. The secondary in particular is just not very talented

The defense just has a glaring weak link that the opposing offense knows they can go after on every 3rd down. The pass rush is average...run defense is average...but I think without the weak link they are good enough.

It is one guy. One guy.

Every team gives up plays. That is normal. What is not normal is for one guy.. EVERY week to consistently kill the team with blown coverages, poor coverages, fumbles, brain dead runs from kick return and now dumb undisciplined after whistle play.

The guy is an absolute liability and I blame Kane for letting him back in. How the hell do you see #5 do that for so many weeks, watch him one-handely keep UGA in the game... take him out.. but put him back in the last drive???

Of course that dummy will comeback to haunt you. He is a dummy, he can't help himself.

5 is awful but 18 and 3 can't cover down the field. Hell even 2 has been below his standard recently. Just feels like we got sold a scam in the off-season. Should have really paid attention to how they got torched in the Indiana game.

I agree. We are right there with what is probably the best team in the country and got zero bounces tonight.

Who knows if we even play UGA again, but we have a team that can make a serious run in the playoffs.

I hope someone else makes it to the sec title game and we shred UGA in the playoffs

I don't know. I seem to be the only person on this board that thinks the defense is a problem. And I'm not just talking tonight but it seems in 2 and a half seasons the defense has been susceptible to runs up the middle & the middle of the field being wide open for opposing receivers. I still don't get Womack's d line because all I see is 3 300lb plus guys trying to bull rush. When the qb becomes mobile they don't have the speed to close on them. And how many bad busts have we've seen from the secondary? If the scheme is sound but the personnel aren't executing why not try different players?

So you think it is a reasonable ask for this defense to hold uga to 16 points or less? Because that's what it would've taken to win tonight.

Is that your legitimate opinion?

Actually 18 just bust a lot. They get him looking in the backfield.

#5 is just awful and corner and needs to be moved to safety. He can't cover man to man

Combine the refs with gunners third down stats I don’t know how we didn’t lose by 30
I think I’m impressed? Or at least confused

My legitimate opinion is when a team goes 93 yds in 7 plays the defense is a problem. When the opposing team knows on 3rd & short they can just throw at #5 and convert the defense is a problem. When the opposing offense averages 7.5 yds a play the defense is a problem.
