WE'll see by Wednesday if Saban say anything about Waddle... In fact, I wouldn't announce anything. Just surprise everyone on Saturday.

If he's back and practicing by the natty, why wouldn't we consider giving him 15-20 snaps? I doubt he'll play a whole game, but give that kid 15 snaps and that may be a TD or two.

Hell just having Waddle on the field strikes terror in DC's. You could use him to draw defenders off the rest of the guys.

Just seeking opinions here, but to me it seems Devonta has excelled being in the spotlight as the top WR target.
Will getting Waddle back and perhaps stealing some of that spotlight from Smith affect his current psyche?

Zero chance it’s a negative on Devonta. Probably the opposite. With both on the field coordinators really can’t afford to double either. They’ll have to man up. Zone will get broken down. Devonta will feast. Everyone will feast.

meanwhile Ohio State gets to sit back and let everyone think they're so great, not having to worry about any season ending injuries

Not true. Ohio State lost their #2 cornerback to a season ending knee injury in game 1.

I think the biggest rub isn’t injuries it’s the grind of an entire season, lack of rest between championship games and playoff games.

Either way I think it will all be fine.

Yep. I get that. My worry for Ohio State is lack of game reps and especially for the young secondary.

If I had to pick a weakness for OSU that would be it right there. Double edged sword.

You guys can score well, Fields is efficient so if OSU and Clemson play I could see OSU jumping on them early and unlike last time them not being able to come back.

Getting old, and my eyes are failing me, but I initially read the OP title as Significant Prowess.

Good news, either way.

You could lose another key player if you had to actually play the games.

We've lost three key players already, and no telling how many are dealing with injuries that they are playing through.

As long as you guys are all healthy and ready to go though who cares right ?

Did I hear you're playing northwestern for the conference title? LMFAO ! what a joke!

Re watched the Indiana game and fields is still one read run. Then tyler Murphy but with out the accuracy and mostly run.
I will say that it could be just a bad day.But brent Venerables with time to prepare will be a challenge. Also there secondary had trouble and they blitzed a lot.Handling a bettet offense will be a problem.

Waddle is one of my favorite all-time players but I'm praying he doesn't come back this season. If he just goes into the draft next year he's a first round lock. If he comes back this season and gets hurt again I'm going to be absolutely sick.

There is so little time this year before the post-season starts.

I would be shocked if he played this year.

They’ve got a bye game for each of their last 3 games tho and that goes really far in reducing not only wear and tear, but opportunities for them to be exposed or caught sleeping ala UF vs LSU. It’s a sham that OSU is getting “benefit of the doubt” with the minimal resume they have to offer. Period.

He broke a bone in his leg man, not his back or neck. Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake had the same injury at Bama. Good thing Kenyan didn't sit out the playoffs too, since he was pivotal in beating Clemson in 2015.

Drake broke his leg in 2014 and missed the CFP loss to tOSU.

He came back in 2015 and made a difference. It was an arm fracture in 2015 that kept him out a couple of games, and he came back for CFPs

Unless, my own memory timeline is off.
