A follow up story from SwimSwam

FORMER ALABAMA COMMIT PUTS SWIMMING ASIDE TO PURSUE MILITARY DREAM
quote:

“The atmosphere at Alabama was absolutely insane,” Rollins said. “Their team was so welcoming to me, they were so nice, the facilities were brand new, their coaching staff was phenomenal. I just loved it, but it’s nothing against them. I’d pick them any day over any other school, but the Marine Corps is just my way to go.”

Is it normal to play the same team twice in one weekend?

Volleyball is experimenting with series right now. Not a fan, but hey, 2 games vs Auburn is always good for ticketsales.

I don't know what his test scores were, but... no way he couldn't have gone to the naval academy and entered the Marines as an officer instead of an enlistee

I'm at the volleyball match with my team right now, and it's tied one set apiece with Auburn up 15-10 in the 3rd set.

That was pain. Nothing Coach Reed can do immediately with the remains of the previous regime outside of experimenting.

One of the biggest defects of Coach Devine was the constant turnover and transfers. The teams never had much chemistry or veteran leaders and that's still the case. Reed's top priority is probably recruiting and recruiting kids that will buy in and stay.

Alabama Soccer

and also-ran program that has spent 100% of it's history out of the national conversation... the world of Stanford, UCLA, North Carolina and Notre Dame...

Alabama Soccer is going to be a Top 5 program tomorrow.
