And Corey Evans changes his forecast of JD Davison from Awbarn to LSU. Wade officially wading in with strong arse offers.

I’d rather LSU than Barn. At least then we know what kind of recruitment this was

Alabama sits with nothing in the 2021 class, and by this time next year, Herb Jones, John Petty, Alex Reese and freshman guard Josh Primo could have graduated or moved on to the NBA.

Suitable replacements will be needed, which is why it is crucial that Alabama lands some players from a group that includes JD Davison, Darius Johnson, Wesley Cardet, Mike James, Johnathon Lawson, Jusaun Holt and Charles Bediako. Davison, Cardet and Bediako would be the ideal class for the Tide, and that goal is attainable. It is also a group that checks all the boxes for Alabama's immediate and long-term future.

Davison, Cardet and Bediako would be awesome.

I think Evans just throws stuff out there sometimes, I'm sure you remember that he had Greg Brown and Jalen Green both going to Auburn last year. I take some of his predictions with a grain of salt.

I think we are in good shape with Bediako though.

I’d like to have Davison but not getting my hopes up. Smells a lot like the Watford recruitment.

I’m not putting too much into his forecast, BUT if we miss on JD right after missing on Watford (especially since both were kind of Bama fans), that’s unacceptable. Oats would have to seriously do some thinking on if he wants to bring Pett back after that. All Pett has to do is recruit in-state and that’s where our struggle has been lately.

I agree that it is unacceptable that Will Wade is allowed to continue being in charge of a college basketball program even though there is publicly available evidence that he is one of the most brazen cheaters in the history of the sport. I'm not sure what that has to do with Pettway though.

Jusaun Holt has been a standout performer this summer in Georgia with his play at multiple tournaments, but most recently at the LakePoint Live Showcase 2. The 6-foot-6 wing continues to improve his ball handling and his jump shot, while also maintaining his ability to defend and rebound his position.

He’s continued to add to his offer list in the past couple months as well. Alabama offered in early July followed by Miami and Wake Forest earlier this month. Dayton, Georgia and Xavier have been in the mix for a while and remain top contenders for his signature in the 2021 class.

Interest has started to come in from Auburn and Oregon in the last couple weeks.

IN HIS OWN WORDS:

Alabama: “They came into the picture a couple months ago. I like coach [Nate] Oats a lot. It’s only his second year, but I really like how they play. They contact me every day and we have a great relationship.”

Auburn: “I’m supposed to have a zoom call with them soon. I don’t know if they are going to offer, but they have been giving me little hints that they might. I just know they are really good and coach [Bruce] Pearl is a really good coach that pushes you and I like that.”

Georgia: “I love coach [Tom] Crean and I love what he does with his player development and how he can get players to the next level. I also like their playing style and how it’s close to home.”

Miami: “The head coach said they are losing a bunch of seniors the year I would come in, so I would make an impact my freshman year. They shoot a lot of three’s, which is my area.”

Wake Forest: “I actually really like coach [Steve] Forbes and the way he coaches. He’s mainly about relationships and he’s a hard coach. I like how he pushes his players to be the best they can be.”

Xavier: “I love all the coaches there. I love all the relationships there and obviously Dwon [Odom] goes there, so that would be a good connection. Dwon likes it so far. He said I would fit right in and make an impact my freshman year.”

RIVALS' REACTION

Holt mentioned he’s not too far away from a decision, but don’t necessarily expect one before the end of the month either. It’s probably safe to assume he’ll be one school’s commitment list by the end of September if all goes as planned.

Right now, Xavier is probably in the best spot with the four-star prospect out of Georgia. Travis Steele and his staff were among the first to offer him a scholarship. Having his former teammate Dwon Odom on the roster now can only help the Musketeers’ chances. However, don’t sleep on the home state Georgia Bulldogs and don’t count out Alabama yet either. Both of those SEC programs have done a really good job with him lately. Tom Crean’s player development and Nate Oats’ playing style certainly have his attention.

Bingo. It’s not really a coincidence that Watford and Davis both have seemed to have their ears perked for the same 2 schools, neither of which have had any sort of pipeline to recruiting in the state. If we lose Davis to LSU or Memphis, it’s hard to blame Pettway for that and I’m sure Oats isn’t ignorant about what’s going on.

2021 five-star CG Hunter Sallis has cut his list down to 12 schools: Kentucky, Michigan, Oregon, Gonzaga, North Carolina, Auburn, Iowa State, Alabama, Creighton, Kansas, Louisville and UCLA.

In the conversation for who the best guard prospect is in the 2021 class, Hunter Sallis has begun to take a greater look at his recruitment. Holding offers from practically every prominent program in America, Sallis has decided to cut his school list for the first time.

Ascending the Rivals150 the past two years, Sallis has become a national priority. After hearing from some of the best from coast to coast, Sallis told Rivals.com that he is now focused on a group of 12 that consists of Alabama, Auburn, Creighton, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, and UCLA.

On Friday, Kentucky was the latest to offer the five-star. Some imagined Sallis quickly coming to a decision in favor of the Wildcats. However, Sallis is in no rush to make a commitment and has not make the complete decision on whether or not he will sign in the fall, which could equate to a prolonged, drawn out recruitment.

Sallis has been unable to visit practically any of his finalists beyond the in-state programs and Gonzaga. By taking things into the fall and winter, by then, Sallis could potentially take any of the five allotted official visits allowed pending the ongoing restrictions connected with the pandemic.

A 6-foot-5 lead guard with tremendous talent, versatility, and upside, Sallis sits as the 11th ranked prospect in the 2021 class. Valued for his ability to create offense in the half-court as both a playmaker and scorer, Sallis is one of the best prospects that the state of Nebraska has produced this century. Kansas and North Carolina were perceived as the favorites prior to the offer from Kentucky, though things remain relatively wide open for the gifted five-star.

Ressurects suggests it was ever alive at some point. Nebraska is historically one of the worst D-1 basketball programs in the country. No idea why he took that job.

'braska native and ISU doubled down on Steve Prohm.

NU can be competitive at bball, I think they have a better future at that than returning to being what they were in football during the 80s-90s.
