Not sure why I put this in the basketball recruiting thread, but I did. Not even sure if it would go in the regular thread. Quit signing soft players!!! I think Oats has signed hard nosed kids

I wonder if that will help us any with Bediako. Maybe Duke will make him less of a priority now. But that could just be wishful thinking on my part.

The Tigers have become a consistent winner for a five-star practically every year that Will Wade has been at the helm and the 2021 class should be no different which could make them a difficult out in the race for Davison.
A timetable for a decision remains out of a sight as there is a chance that Davison waits things out until the spring so that he can get a better look at each of his finalists. In doing so, it would allow for Davison to potentially visit any of his finalists before committing.

The 6-foot-3 and 175-pound prospect out of Letohatchee (Ala.) Calhoun School is now down to Alabama, Auburn, Kansas, LSU, Memphis and Michigan.
Davison had recently cut his list to ten in late June consisting of Alabama, Auburn, Memphis, Kansas, Louisville, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Florida and Georgia.
The Alabama native is moving fairly quickly when it comes down to cutting his list but his decision might come as quickly as he waits to watch programs and see where he can get on campus.
Up to this point, the standout point guard has been on campus to both in-state programs, Alabama and Auburn so if he wants to visit others before deciding his decision will come at a later date.
Davison is coming off an breakout high school season and following it up with an impressive summer. Whichever program lands him, is landing a talented and explosive guard who can score and make others better.

“He’s the best point guard in the country,” said Anthony Ricks of Team Parsons. “I’ve seen them all. He’s arguably the most underrated player in the country. Yes, I know that is saying a lot but it’s true and honestly my opinion.
“With his body being physically ready for college already, he will start day one at whichever school he chooses. He shoots it off the bounce or set from NBA with ease. He’s athletic, finishes above the rim and creates for others at a high level.”

A 6-foot guard out of the nation’s capital, Johnson ascended the positional rankings this spring and saw a bevy of high-major suitors appear within his recruitment. After hearing from some of the better programs along the east coast, Johnson has decided that he will play at Alabama, Providence or UCF.
"I picked these three schools because they are the ones who recruited me the hardest and told me that they needed me as a part of their team,” Johnson told Rivals.com. “It was pretty easy to narrow it down to these three because, after a while, they were the only schools consistent.”
With family in Florida, Johnson has spent the summer down south competing with the CP25 SE Elite program. In doing so, while coaches have been unable to be physically present for his travel games, his appearances at various clinics and events that have been virtually streamed has shown that he has the capacity to impact a high-major program day one thanks to his toughness and overall skills at the point guard position.
“I also knew that I could go right into each of these three schools my freshman year and earn a chance to play right away at the guard position,” Johnson went on to say.
Johnson has not set a definitive date for his commitment but one does not appear to too far away. UCF is the local school back home but Alabama was one of the first to make him a priority, which could also be said for Providence. A dead heat between each of his finalists, there is no clear-cut favorite at this time.
