Wake just hired a coach (Pearl's old assistant from Tennessee) and would be a step down for him. Pearl isn't going anywhere, I don't think. I think he's built something at Auburn, he likes it, he thinks he can win big there and the school went to bat for him when not many others would.

I hope he stays and Oats starts winning on the court. That 2nd game in Auburn last year was electric, and it'd be awesome to consistently have NCAAT teams battling each other in the state.

All of this.

The Wimp Sanderson/Sonny Smith days were so much fun. It would be fantastic to get there again.

That would suck if Pett can’t finish the deal on JD. Him and Watford in our own backyard B2B both grew up Bama fans and he couldn’t close the deal.

Time to bring in the big guns and get Hodgson and Oats on it.

Let’s just see how it plays out.

I don’t see him going to Auburn with Cooper likely to stay for 2 years imo.

If we make the tourney I think we get him.

Eventually we will need to cut ties with Pett.

I don't like new coaching staffs keeping holdovers from previous staffs.

I know he is decent on the recruiting trail, but, $$ or not, if he loses JD, that's 2 bigtime in-state prospects in a row he has whiffed on. All the while, Hodgson is killing shite.

It's from Corey Evans, he also had Greg Brown, Jalen Green, and Kuminga going to Auburn at one point, not sure if he is an Auburn fan or what, but he was wrong about all three of those.

Alabama virtually met with four-star sophomore Chandler Jackson this evening, he told @Stockrisers. The entire staff was on the call.

If Alabama cancels classes do all our 18 year old international studs have to leave the States?

If that idiot Trump has any say about it then probably. Hopefully our coaches are smart enough to come up with some way around it. Seems like Arizona has.

Yes, if they cancel altogether and go strictly online. It's such an incredibly stupid policy. But hey, look at the source. The obvious workaround is having a small handful of in person classes that don't have mandatory attendance and can be completed entirely online, and then having the professors in charge of teaching them send out weekly e-mails canceling class or moving it to Zoom for various reasons.

Don’t take much into Corey’s futurecast. He likes to make predictions way ahead of time to see if they stick, but ends up changing multiple times. He told me it’s just a gut pick and he has no info on it. Also, I don’t see Pett staying much longer. I think his time as coach at Bama ya run his course. He wants to be a head coach one day.

Last week, top 20 power forward Daimion Collins made the first step toward his eventual college decision when he cut his school list to a group of ten consisting of Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech. Of the group, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas have connected with him the most often.

Digging deeper into the situation, I moved my FutureCast to OU last week. Texas is the Sooners' greatest competitor and the fact that the Longhorns were his dream school growing up only helps UT’s case. However, Collins has developed a strong rapport with Lon Kruger and his coaching staff. He competes for the Team Griffin travel program that is sponsored by former Sooners standout Blake Griffin and is very close friends with OU commit Bijan Cortes. If things ended today, Collins would be Norman bound.

We are going to virtually meet with Wes Cardet on Zoom again today.

Pretty intriguing prospect imo.

He fits what Oats wants in a guard to a T. Tall with long arms, and he can dribble, pass, shoot, and defend.
