No desire to ply uab ever. I am fine with USA or any other in state school but as said above nothing to be gained.

8 seed we surprise someone and lose in the second round. Playing instate schools on the road can get you a L, it will be their Super Bowl and you will be playing in front of packed houses in a charged atmosphere.

We’re an 8 seed and surprise a 9 seed?

That's fair, but what happened in his second season?
6 departures. I'd imagine a young team as well, since they went through 14 different lineups in his second year. Only seven in his third.
All in all, I'd say Buffalo's record would have been eerily similar with Hurley as HC that Oats had his first two years.
From everything we've seen and heard, I don't think an NCAA appearance in his first year is far fetched. Could potentially have a similar year that Ole Miss had last year.

The one difference that may make a difference either good or bad: Kermit Davis came into Oxford and just got a group of kids to play fundamentally sound basketball. In other words, they were familiar with the concepts, they just were asked to do it better. They weren’t the most talented team and he didn’t do anything exotic, he just got them to play hard, sound fundamental basketball. And on some nights they just got outtalented. And on other nights, they just outworked more talented teams. Our trip to Oxford comes to mind.
Nate is installing a unique form of basketball that is just now coming into vogue and may not be super familiar to the kids and thus harder to absorb quickly. There very well may be a learning curve, especially in November. That could hold us back some.

Making a big transition in style of play definitely involves a learning curve, but it's not like we are talking about a football team going from the veer to an air raid. Basketball is basketball and there's only so much variation in styles of play. If we just cut down on our turnovers and learn how to box out for rebounds we become a better team than we were last year even if we aren't entirely comfortable running a motion offense yet.

Mack committed to Clemson

I wouldn’t have minded holding on to Tevin. He showed as much or more promise than anyone else on the team did last year.

I like him but I’d rather have Quinerly.

My prediction(s) for next year
1. Actual inbound plays
2. Taking pregame seriously
3. Movement on offense and on time passing
4. Grit and hustle from everyone on the court
Anything beyond that is gravy.

Ive been watching and studying the Flex Cut offense which is what Bruce and Auburn does and its an impressive offense. And what Bruce has done to take it to an even harder to guard level is he gets shooters at every position on the floor.

Yep. All the naysayers have us losing.

You can run whatever but you have to have the personnel. Pearl had those jets at guard that could shoot it.
