Only 2 scenarios make sense to me here. LSU paid Alleva to reinstate Wade and forced him to step down to cover their asses. Or LSU board did not agree with the decision to reinstate and forced him to step down. Either way, this was an LSU decision not Alleva’s

I hope Pett gets a HC job. It would be great for him to go to a small school,have success, and then if a Blue Blood poaches Oats from us bring him back

I think what happened with Aleva was that this was just a culmination of his past screw ups and the higher ups finally said enough is enough. He fired Les, fricked up the Jimbo hire, rehired Les then fired Les and settled for O. Then in basketball he hired Johnny Jones which was a disaster then replaced him with Wade who turns out to be rogue. So they make Aleva reinstate Wade pending the outcome of further events and then tell him to resign for the mess.
