I don’t even know. Maybe that’s a mandatory rule, but him getting tossed today was weak in the first place. At least give him a warning for something like that

Damn, this game today burst my bubble for baseball. I thought last night was an aberration but either Lipscomb is a helluva ball club that will make some noise or we aren’t much better than last year.

Googled it, charges dropped as a result of a plea deal where he surrendered teaching privileges.
If they had the evidence, they would have prosecuted.

Was mine too, but after our start plus seeing some other teams struggle pretty badly, if we don’t make it to Hoover this year then it’s time to bulldoze the stadium and start over in about 5 years.

Let me define “burst my bubble”: I simply meant I was starting to believe we could actually host a regional, possibly, but unlikely, a super. Now I’m back down to earth of we’d better make it to Hoover and we should last for a couple of rounds. I didn’t mean that I’d given up on them already.

Like I’ve said before, let’s be cautious about this team. If they come out and take the Arky series please hold the enthusiasm. Let them actually get somewhere before you start getting excited and then only about where they’ve gotten. Our biggest weakness as fans is our over-zealous dreaming.
This team is going to get exposed for some weaknesses. We still need pitching depth. We are breaking in a number of true freshmen. We may have some struggles hitting still. This is not a team full of Vanderbilt caliber guys.
