had no idea he was rated that highly. How did he not go early in the draft?
I'm pretty sure he made it clear he was going to go to school unless he was a 1st round pick, but I could be misremembering.

Bohannon has retained a lot more draftable guys than gaspard did. Will just have to do it for a couple more classes to be a real threat to get to Omaha.

The Bob Jones team is just loaded this season. They've got 10 kids committed to play college ball. 6 of those are P5 schools (Texas, Arkansas, Bama x2, Auburn x2)
The best two players on that team are coming to Bama next year

Wow - that's as stacked a high school roster as I've heard of in a long time, especially considering they must all be JR/SRs to already be committed.
Goodness.

They lost in game 3 of the finals last year to Mcgill, but anything short of a state title this year would be a major disappointment. Jared has built a great program up there.
He's also a big bama fan/alumnus

Also, since they stopped all the early tournaments teams used to play
I didn't realize this had happened. I wonder why.

Do you just keep up with them being local or do you have a son playing over there?

I’m a senior at Bob Jones

Ah gotcha. I'm getting older now so I forget that I've been on this board for nearly a decade

I can't remember the specifics, but basically they constricted the schedule. They moved the "First Contest" date back a week and may have moved the "Last Contest" date up a week too. It ended up cutting the non conference portion of the schedule, pre-SEC play, down by like 2 weeks - which meant you had less opportunity for a tournament trip and/or a big weekend series. The OOC became a lot more mid-week games during OOC play and SEC play, which led to it being a lot more regional and local (more UAB, Troy, USA and less UCLA, NC State, Iowa).

Our youngest played Summer ball with both players that are going to UA (Ray and Rose) + 1 of the AU committs.(Hill)
Quick story about Rose. During PG trnmnt in GA, our team made it to the Elite 8 out of 300+ teams from across the U.S.
We only carry 13 players on our roster so Rose was told he would have to pitch.
After he warmed up the 1st live pitch he threw was 92mph. He stayed around the high 80's to low 90's for 4 innings.
The point being....hes a pure athlete and had a full ride to Nebraska to play football.
Ray can sling it to and he can also rake.
Hill is a strong LHP with solid velo and can hit his spots. He too can rake.
Best HS game I've watched was last year when Bob Jones played at Hazel Green and then Hazel Green traveled to Bob Jones to play. Lots of recruits on both teams. HGHS had 7 kids sign to play college ball (1 SEC, 5 JUCO, 1 SWAC).
BJHS won game 1 in extra innings by 1 run and won game 2 by 1 run by throwing out the tying run at home.
At the time, Hazel Green was ranked #1 in 6A (2018 6A State Champion) and Bob Jones was ranked #1 in 7A (2018 final 4).

Teh MEGATHREAD should be returned to it's rightful place at the top of the board.
This experiment has failed.

I will readily admit I have zero clear how to re-order pinned threads. Get over it peasants
