I get it...You don't know how to handle it when someone doesn't agree with you.. you'll be ok. Once you mature, you'll see that it's ok if people don't always agree.

Quinn Ewers, who is looking like sh!t in the NFL?

Not an Ewers fan or supporter of any kind, but are we really judging guys based on their first start in a preseason game?

Personally - I didn't see that being inferred at all. I took it as - he wouldn't do it - though it felt like Milroe did. (I don't think Milroe deliberately did either - just explaining how I took it

I was referring to the poster above inferring that Ty would purposely try to undermine our team like Milroe did last season.

That poster was not inferring anything about TY. He was simply making a statement that this years offense only needed solid QB play, nothing flashy, to improve on last year.

Very excited to see what Ty Pimpson can do, especially under Grubb. Ever since I saw him in high school I've thought this guy could be a modern day Fran Tarkenton and all the reports of his leadership development over the summer have me excited that he is going to meet his potential. He will cook with the wide receiver room we have and hopefully we will push the ball downfield the whole year this year and can maximize QB run.

Shout out to Big Mack with his elite charisma, arm talent and height and the prodigy KR, these guys are dudes.

I’m excited to see what he can do. My only thing is he seems to press too much, like Jones in his first start after Tua got hurt. If he can handle Doak Campbell when they are fired up I’ll be all the way on the wagon. He’s got the tools, just need to use them the right way. Glad they named the starter now where he’s not looking over his shoulder and pressing.

Glad for Dylan. He always seemed to have good mechanics when he got time.

Ty isn’t as fast as Milroe but still has better than average speed and IMO is way, way shiftier than Milroe was.

If he can just handle the RPO and hold onto the ball, the offense will be fine. I’m hoping he can read the hot route and throw an out pattern pass. Milroe simply could NOT do that. Down vote me to the moon but it’s true.

Kinda like Arch Manning was behind Quinn Ewers, who is looking like sh!t in the NFL?

Ewers was always a bit overrated, but we all would have preferred him over Milroe. He wasn't a bad college QB at all. I get your point though. If Simpson is actually worse than Milroe that would mean he's borderline unplayable and Mack and Russell are too. Yet there were never even rumors that we were looking at portal QBs, much less confirmed reports.

So that’s two former backups starting in the ACC now and Sayin at Ohio State favored to start there all of whom were behind Simpson on the depth chart.

That means going into last year we had 5 future P4 starting QBs on the roster for a short time.

(Milroe, Simpson, Sayin, Lonergan and Holstein).

Not saying it’s Hurts / Tua / Mac, but still pretty impressive from an eval standpoint.

I expect Ty's highs will not be as high as Milroe's but that his lows will be so much higher that overall it will be a huge upgrade.

If he doesn’t hurt us that’s half the battle.

Yep. Milroe straight up won us 4 games in his two years as a starter. He played amazing versus Georgia and LSU each season. However, Milroe was the sole culprit or a major one at least in 6 losses in his two years as a starter. If Ty Simpson never plays so poorly that we can point to him alone as the reason we lost a game, we're probably a better team for it.

We've been spoiled because the number of games we've lost solely because the QB failed the team have been pretty limited over the last two decades or even more. Perhaps the Milroe era was just cosmic rebalancing and hopefully that means we're on to another two decades of solid QB play where at worst they typically aren't the sole reason we lost a game.

Meh... I would be lying if I said I wasn't skeptical. He hasn't seen and meaningful playing time through 2 previous coaches, despite being behind milroe, who we know had many issues. Idk... I guess we'll see

Nope. Sorry. The time for that is OVER. All doubt is put on hold until at least September 1st

Milroe was uniquely designed to wreck LSUs shite

2024 Georgia might be the single most confusing QB performance of all time. It’s right up there with Trevor Knight or Calzada against us

I wouldn't go that far. Milroe had plenty of successful games before 2024 UGA. He had multiple games of 3 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs. The week before at Wisconsin he had 3 passing TDs and 3 rushing TDs with a QB rating of 225.7. It wasn't a one off game.

I will definitely be pulling for him. Came in as a 5 star. Waits around forever and then sits behind Milroe. Most guys would have bolted a long time ago for greener pastures.

I'm good with it. This is not a knock on Coker....but....Ty is a much better QB than Coker and Bama still won a natty with an average QB in Coker.
