Also, didn't Milroe work under a reconstructed o-line last week? Notice how Simpson couldn't get to the edge on his run, but those short passes though. Let's exchange that for being the top in the nation in explosive plays and keeping defenses guessing.
we got guys who hate long td passes and want to see underneath passing and a punt

Saying Simpson should be considered a starter is delusional and exhausting. Great player but behind an awesome talent

Who said he should start in this thread?

Feels like people are very sensitive and think that giving Simpson any sort of praise is at the same time a slight against Milroe.

I agree. Some of the most impressive quarterbacking I've ever seen. I was in awe.

They're wasting a true weapon in James Burnip by scoring all these explosive TDs.

With a leg like that you think he might have the speed to run some verts?

The guy just gets it, and mentally is way ahead of Milroe (Sorry but it's true).

Um, what did you take from this? He is mentally prepared knowing he headed straight back towards the sideline after Milroe had to come out for a play with his helmet coming off. He knew exactly his role

I bet he glides like Eric Dickerson in the open field.

Not your quote but still someone suggesting a change that you said was not mentioned

That's like saying I support police but we should defund them. He can say not to bench him but then you can't say the other guy is better and then put sorry in parenthesis as if it's an objective topic of discussion

For all that is good in life, that ain't a political skin just an analogy

I never said Simpson was better.

Tbh, I'm not sure who's better. We've never seen Simpson in prime time running with the 1s in the DeBoer era.

What I said was Simpson is better mentally, pre-snap, and in short to intermediate passing.

Jalen runs like an NFL RB, and can make explosive passing plays downfield. He's also battle tested and an elected captain.

Fair enough. Feels good being comfortable with both. Especially having different strengths

I do agree Simpson has better football IQ.

I think most of us not prone to reductio ad absurdum think long TD's are great, but it's even better if you can put together long drives when a defense takes those chunk plays away.

Simpson is a good backup. There are a lot of SEC schools that would be in trouble if their backup had to play, Bama is not one of them.

No, in all cases the backup is better than the starter.

Explosive plays are great, but sometimes actually looking at your checkdown for an easy 3rd down conversion is too instead of going 3 and out.

Would love for Milroe to add this to his skillset.

don't know if his deep throws are as good as Milroe's, but he does everything else so well.

I’m not getting into a debate because I honestly think the offense while different would be fine with either but Simpson deep ball is not close to Jalen’s
