True, but if Ty continues to play poorly then you can’t win with him so you have to try something else unless you’re just going to concede.

Was just texted that it’s believed Ty has been playing with a back injury. Take it for what it’s worth

I know to expect one thing with this staff: they’re going to roll out a QB who is playing like shite through thick and thin.

He’s gonna play the whole game man. Is what it is. Even if Alabama completely shits the bed against Oklahoma again, Deboer has still got next year. If it goes poorly, the job goes to Mack or Russell or a transfer qb. And we lose at least two qbs.
Best we can hope for, is for Ty to go the frick off and win us a ship. Just have everyone click for a month.
And then he goes pro or gets a ridiculous nil offer and we don’t match.
Win is a win. Everything else holds potential pitfalls.

He has had a back, disc issue since the Missouri game. Everyone knows this , sadly , so does our opponents.

He has been taking shots to manage it, but damn, Allen and co. Along with the HC needed to sit him . Don't know how much 11 days of rest will do to help.

He’s been running around with a TENS unit. hate it for the kid. Second half mizzu game is when he started his massive fall off. Must be frustrating for him to go from top of the mountain to bottom of the barrel for no official reason.

Coaches should have took him out in UGA game gave someone else a chance. It wouldn’t have made it any worse

No way you want to put Mac or Russell in with this offensive mess. There is a reason why Ty was named the starter. He’s our best option to win.

if the backup qb can make the ol and rb's start blocking correctly and wr's stop dropping balls, then sure, i'm all for it. otherwise whats the point.

I'd give Ty all next week off...recover physically and reset.

Some saunas, massages, hot tubs, rain drops on the sound system, harp playing, while the fax girl cites Walt Whitman in the back ground....just relaxxxxxx.

Same crowd that crowed about how AK Dear was the answer in the running game.. how’d that work out?

Ty is the QB .. he’s going to be the QB.

Mack will never be the starter.. Russell is a special talent.. but he’s not ready to jump in this fire yet.

There’s a reason someone is 2nd, 3rd or 4th team.

The coaches watch them everyday.. while most of you pretend to know what is better

DeBoer's allegiance is to the team and the University of Alabama, not one player. If Ty is stressed, the best thing to do is let him know it is not all on him. Give the other guys a shot. Sometimes sittung a player is the best thing you can do. Years ago Bama played USC. The first series the 1st string offense didn't move the ball well. Bear put the 2nd sting in on the 2nd possession and they moved the ball. The 1st string got the meassage.

We all know he has a back injury. They were working on it in the Auburn game.

Being hardheaded could have cost Shula his job. Mal Moore who knew told him to get himself some help with new assistants especially on offense. He refused and the rest is history. Probably would not have survived long term anyway. DeBoer seems to be too politically correct to be successful here long term. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet. He did not inherit a good quarterback situation, but he has mishandled it making it worst.

Yes. when Mal went to Shula, he swore everything was fine and he didn't need to make changes. Thats when Mal fired him......That is exactly the same way Deboer is and why he will not make it here. Deboer is semi-hard headed and semi-delusional and 100% soft on offense. Grubb is the reflection of Deboer's approval, and that is a red flag. Grubb's offensive philosophy is illogical and overly complicated. I don't have room to get into whats going on with Ty but the staff is failing to help him in his struggles and making it worse. Sad part is even if Grubb is hired away, Sheridan would be the OC. Deboer will eventually be fired for the same reasons Shula was but I doubt Deboer will be given the same lengthy burnout.

That doesn't mean he had an injury. His back could have been sore

Bryant routinely played 2 and sometimes even 3 QBs after we went to the wishbone.

If we go back to the bone, maybe Deboer will too
