Heck we had a punter too who played all year with ACL, I think Bearden? Punted pretty well too

I would never thought I would take a punter with a torn ACL over a current punter lol

And there are different grades of tears. The ACL is a very thick ligament and people can have small tears of it and be fine. I really dont think its ACL, but its possible. Meniscus is much more likely and its easier to tear. The way he pulled up in the game is much more characteristic of meniscus injury too, because when it tears, the torn portion can flip into and out of the joint space, and when it flips into the joint it causes the knee to lock up and can be very painful.

Played my junior season on a partially torn meniscus at DT

It was pretty terrible but that was years ago so the specifics of the pain are hard to recall these days

I actually reinjured the same meniscus and LCL this past Christmas. I can’t imagine playing on that but obviously a more significant injury

You know he hurt it scrambling on a pass play, right?

I know this is less important but can tua still win the heisman if he misses a game or two?

Straight line running isn’t terrible but lateral movement is incredibly uncomfortable if it’s indeed a meniscus

That injury cost Bama the 2013 NC or at least our shot at playing FSU for the trophy. JMO

I doubt it. I think Shaun Alexander's ankle cost him to miss a couple of games his Senior season. In my mind, he would have won the Heisman. I'm biased

Kerry Goode sprinted off the field after his ACL injury.
He was never the same.

Man this sucks. I guess you should just do It now and hope he's back for LSU. But I'm holding out my ridiculous optimist that somebody is wrong here and there is no tear lol.

From what I was told he needs a scope but hasn’t received it yet. His injury is a partial torn meniscus. If he has the scope now it’s 3-4 weeks out.

I think the question is whats the status of the knee after three weeks post surgery.
meaning is it the same pain, risk of any other damage that's he playing under now.

If he's playing at a 85% ability with pain and possible other knee damage risk now.
Whats the playing % ability post procedure after 3 weeks with same consideration of pain
and other knee damage that soon?

If he will be 100% good to go is 3-4 weeks with 4 being the max.
Then could he have it right now with the intent of being 80-85n % available ability for backing up jalen going into LSU after three wks? The same % he would currently be playing against Tenn then rest the bye week and limited rep practice week of LSU.

Maybe we should go back ti starting hurts and then letting tua come in during the second half if we need him to put points up

Maybe the scope procedure can be delayed until right after the SEC Title game on Dec 1 and he could be good to go for the CFP.

At that point could the recovery time be longer though?
