I bet that is the plan unless he keeps re-injuring it or pain is too much

Saban said that Tua could have gone back in and wanted to go back in, and that was after his Mom came down and went into the tent. I assume that she and the doctors must have ok'd his going back in.

I'll guess we'll learn more about the decision as the week unfolds.

So is it likely they figured this all out in the tent? I'm not really sure what they are able to do in there

There are so many things I want to say that are not positive towards the program as a whole right now, but that's counter productive.

Tua needs to get his knee scoped and shut it down until the iron bowl. That's 5 weeks, and he will be full go for practice for that week.

The selfish side wants for him to rest for 2 weeks get a plasma injection and heal that way. Selfish meaning I want him to heal the right way I am just hoping we can do it this way.

Probably not "figured it all out" but were reasonably sure that it's a torn meniscus rather than a more severe injury. I doubt his Mom would have consented to him possibly going back in unless she were reasonably assured it was ok. I guess we can take Saban at his word about it, but that aside, you'll notice that Tua stayed on the sideline, in uniform.

This video made Bearden a legend. Very poor quality but he whipped this guy

That dude thought he was tangling with an average punter

Bearden used to light folks up.

I was at Oak Mountain ampitheater for a concert ~2002-2003. A fight broke out and one big ole baw was tossing security guards left and right. Out of nowhere, a different security guard comes flying in and speared the big baw. Perfect decleating form tackle. Then subdued the baw in a head and arm choke hold.

Come to find out, the security guard was Lane Bearden. True story.

ETA: Regarding the OP, I would imagine if Tua were gonna have the surgery during the season, he would have already had it.

Seems most reasonable. I think we can beat LSU with Hurts.

Actually, though a healthy Tua is miles better than Jalen, the fact that the injury will pretty much preclude his scrambling, let alone called run plays for him, we may be better off with a gameplan with Hurts. That is to say, a mostly immobile Tua will bring a lot of heat from the defense, and of course, the chance for a worse injury.

Here's the perfect opportunity for some of you guys to remind me of my comments pre season that we'd be better off if Jalen went ahead and transferred.

I just want what's best for the team. I want to win, and win it all, but not at the expense of ruing the kid's career.

I am not for putting Tua out there if he is not comfortable with it but I don’t see us winning against LSU without him . Media and voters may take that into consideration come playoff time

So if he had it scoped today, he’d have almost 3 weeks to be ready for lsu.

Yeah honestly I don't see us scoring many points @ LSU if tua doesn't play. And who knows how much our defense can hold them to.

Florida beat LSU and I think we're better than UF even without Tua playing. I think Jalen is better than the UF or LSU qb, and our defense is improving. I also think our rbs are better and I know our receivers are.

Oh yeah, and though UGA is good, they were over rated. They aren't as good this year as last. They lost a lot of good players to the NFL.

The committee said that Bryant being injured in Clemon’s loss last year was considered and the loss wasn’t weighed as heavily because of it. So the committee does consider injuries.

Update Tua got scoped. He could play against Tennessee in a limited capacity but I’m wondering how they will play this as I have no idea.

Florida played them in the Swamp.

We'll be playing them in Baton Rouge, possibly at night. I don't see us getting out of there with a W without Tua under center.

If he can play in limited capacity that sounds pretty good for the LSU game at least. Heisman chances though :(

Welp. That settles that.

I'd sit him against the Vols. That'll give him a couple of weeks to recover, and hopefully he'll be able to play in BR.
