the local CBS had a guy on the field interview Tua an hour or so after the game. He was asked about it and basically said it was something he was having to deal with. So it is not fine. He said while running it basically gave out on him around the 30 yard line and he said his adrenaline carried him to the end zone.

There may be something to the meniscus thing that will require a scope after the season. Assuming he makes it that long. This may be why they did the procedure on Jalen to get him healed quicker. I doubt we see Jalen until he is 100% in case he has to come in for Tua.

You can tell he’s trying to play like there’s nothing wrong with it. But it’s obvious something is up. Might be more to what Boz was saying all along.

Not trying to start a fight amongst posters but something is up and it sucks.

It might help if he quit jumping to celebrate.

for the most part our OL is doing a great job keeping him in the pocket. The one sack was him standing in the pocket too long. There was another time he stood in the pocket too long and got hit while he was throwing a wounded duck.

Best OL we have had in a number of years. We will lose 2 starters.

I feel like this is something that is going to linger until at least the semifinals, if not next season. With that said, he looks a lot better now than he did against Mizzou a few weeks back.

People would go nuts but I wouldn't mind not playing him at all against the Citadel. Let Jalen or Mac take that game. It's bad enough we are exposing our DL to a game full of cut blocks the week before we play Auburn.

This.^^^^..I'm with you and John Doe on this.No more celebratory jumps.

I think the Brace may be bothering him. He's got one with the hinges on it(I think),to support his knee.

With that said,at some point,if there is nothing wrong with his knee,I would think he would shed the brace.

If he wears it the rest of the Season,it may signify a Meniscus tear, that would sideline him if scoped right now.

I hate to see anyone with a knee problem.

My Right Knee is made of steel.

It’s definitely an issue.

If we make it to the playoffs could Tua have the surgery and be good to go before the first game?

If it is indeed the meniscus?

meniscus surgery/scope takes 4-6 weeks to rehab from. With the Bama staff it might be quicker so I think as long as he can manage the pain he will. But I would not be shocked if he has surgery within a few days after our last game.

If he can’t even jump up and celebrate after a TD do you think he can play QB the rest of the season? It really is getting worrisome. I’d rather risk the year with Mac and go down swinging rather than see Tua get hurt significantly. I trust the staff to do the right thing though but shite

We need to jump all over State and yank his arse out ASAP. I wouldn’t even dress him vs the Citadel. Give him a good break before that Iron Bowl game and see where he’s at.

Worrisome? He looks way better now than he did against Missouri. I'm still not convinced he hasn't already had some type of procedure.

It's probably just tendinitis.

When I use to get in my stance or cut off my right foot the tendinitis would flare up from my meniscus tear and my knee would "give out" making me at times almost fall.

I was fine though, it just happens.

If you have ever had a meniscus strain or tear you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I'll get a tough of DV for this (lol) but Tua is a little dramatic. He milks almost everything so no matter how small he will seems to always give the impression the situation is huge.

What in the hell are you taking about.

I think he is anxious about the knee because it doesn’t seem right to him.

frick Delpit. I don't know how anyone can say that he wasn't going for Tua's knee. On a play that was whistled dead no less. Piece of shite.

It was pretty clear what I'm saying.

Every time he gets touched he milks it. He has to stop that or more teams will think that is something they should target about him.

Personally, I feel like something is wrong. However, it isn't that severe. The dude runs and jumps after games. Jumps to celebrate, etc. etc.

If it was serious he wouldn't do that shite.

I'm leaning toward it being something like a sprained ligament. He can still run and move with it, but it will be painful and weak. He just needs rest to heal it.

Like some have said. The brace may be aggrvating the situation. I don't think I could run with that dang thing on.

Glad this thread exists because I came here to post it.

I hope it's not severe, because this is a very different team without Tua.

Not saying we don't win without him, but it would be a very different look.

I know they're going to keep things like this close to the vest--and I get why they do. Still--his knee most certainly doesn't look "fine."
