I hate to say it. but if I was Tua I would be gone after this year.

I wouldn't blame him. UCLA just seems to make so much sense for him (I didn't say to him) because Kelly is new too, and so he would have no favorites, even if there is a returning starter. Then, Kelly coached Mariota, who played at Tua's high school and was a home town hero.

I hope he's the qb at Alabama next year because Hurts still struggles, but if Tagovailoa transfers, we can still win most games with our defense and a conservative offensive game plan.

edit: oh yeah, and a new offensive coordinator would be good. I do have to admit, though, that last year I thought UGA made a huge mistake hiring Chaney. This year they are much improved, with a true freshman quarterback no less.

I will say one thing, and even in doing so I’ve always appreciated Boz’s insights:

The impression of Tua’s potential playing time in this game was never built up as being mop up duty once the game was in hand. It was built up as a dual role of sorts as part of the game plan, which did not happen.

Everyone here knows Saban, the fact the game never got out of hand is absolutely the reason he didn't see the field. Had it been tied and us stalling he for sure would have come in.

Either way, Tua will be ready if we need him against UGA and compete for starter in the spring. I think he will likely win the job.

No need for him to transfer and considering his dad just accepted a job in Bham I don't think he will go anywhere. Now his little Bro is another story.

I think Tua stays. I wouldn't think he goes anywhere.

UCLA has a stud qb from Bishop Gorman coming in this class. He should start right away. Tua will stay and Jalen will leave after next year imo

jalen's gonna leave early? ... and go where? ... he ain't playing qb in the nfl ...

i don't know if tua leaves for ucla ... would make a lot of sense for various reasons, but he'd have to sit a year and watch whatever hotshot kelly gets in learn the ropes and take control ... then he's right back where he started ...

Why would it matter if he left to some of u? It's been made clear by the attitude of some that they don't want jalen on this team so why give a shite where he goes?

I seriously believe through my own speculation that the coaches will sit Jalen down and let him know if he has any NFL aspirations it won't be at QB. I wouldn't mind seeing him at a slot position and with him in the field and Tua at QB that's two arms and a lot more defenses have to game plan around. I really believe the job is Tuas assuming he doesn't regress and plays well and improves in the spring. Jalen is a winner but the offense has been and will continue to be limited with him when Tua has proven he can be mobile and definitely can pass the ball.

Jalen moving to a different position could definitely be something to consider...I had wondered about that long term , just still think some have given up on him way too early.

The only way tua was playing wld have been due to injury or blowout.
It's like some of you haven't been paying attention to coach Saban over the years. Don't be so gullible ppl.

You don’t have to respond to them, you know that right?

I'm just glad there is only one more game this season to have to deal with the Tua / Hurts shite.

Then it'll be an offseason competition and we can get this all figured out

He's been playing RB for two years why would the coaches move him to slot ?
