The only question I have about this Lawrence thing is how in the world did this guy have this virus Wednesday morning and he then goes to practice and yet not one other Clemson player is in contact tracing protocol? It's a miracle.

Have to wonder if it is a false negative or something. Because usually when 1 person tests positive in a setting like this then more people test positive. Look at Wisconsin, Florida, Tennessee Titans for example

That's a shame. This whole Covid thing is such a farce.

I've lost a loved one, and a colleague this year to covid so keep on thinking it's a "farce." (Neither of them were over 65 years old)

Some dude at my wifes company that was an anti-masker, "everyone is violating my rights," "this is all a hoax", yada, yada, yada... he caught it and died two weeks ago.

Edit*

I've been a common sense guy myself through all this- washing my hands, avoiding large crowds, wear a mask to work, etc., but here recently in the area I'm living in we've had a really big spike, and all our ICU beds are full. People are starting to make a run on certain goods again at the store. I'm definitely more concerned now than I was over the summer.

I’m sorry for your losses. It’s never easy for anyone. I sincerely mean that.

I’d like to know if the cases of pneumonia and flu deaths have dropped, or what their numbers are now in comparison to the past.

That was a possibility. But I'm hearing that he's reporting mild symptoms, so likely he is positive. It's interesting how different the conference protocols are. The B1G has 21-day quarantine, the SEC 14, and the ACC 10. Chances are Sunshine will be back sooner than later barring a setback.

Combining this with a schedule that didn't have at least one bye week was so stupid. They basically fricked 13 member institutions to give Ohio State the best shot at the playoffs they could.

That just tells me the B1G got bullied back into the football season. Peer pressure caught up with all their medical data. Which is more than ironic given they were the one trying to do all the bullying when this scourge started.

Sunshine officially out for Notre Dame. Dear Lord, will I have to root for the Irish?

BC would have gotten the job done yesterday if their QB wasn’t a moron.

Here’s the thing if Clemson loses to ND they will find a way somehow to get them both in the playoff, watch.

It's pretty likely ND and CU play again for the ACC title. If they split, they could both get in with one loss.

As long as Bama gets in, I don't care who else gets in. But I do hope we end up as the #1 seed.

Of course. They are already talking up Clemson and the fact that the committee can take absent personnel into account. That’s bullshite. They aren’t giving us a free pass for missing Waddle. So ND is one of the very few teams that might actually challenge Clemson. It’s starting to feel like it’s safer for Sunshine and the boys to win out until the ACC Championship game as the best chance to eliminate them. I say these close calls should start adding up. Syracuse pushed them until the 2nd half. BC was one drive away from beating their arse and should have done it. These are teams that Bama and the Buckeyes would blow off the field. Clemson can’t keep getting overlooked for Clemsoning.

My belief is that Clemson spends a significant chunk of their weekly practice time working on prep for us, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, which is why they have a few close calls every year against that joke of a schedule.

Putting the cart way before the horse, I sure would want to be the #1 seed in the playoffs, to play ND instead of Ohio State. Sure will be much easier.

That’s what I’m saying. Last year they moved Clemson down to 2 or 3 for schedule. Hey played the much harder game in Oklahoma and not OSU.

On top of that playing Sugar instead of traveling to Cali to the Rose.

I could 100% see Bama, Clemson, ND and Ohio state in the playoffs.

Big names like Bama, ND and Ohio St. all in the playoffs would have the powers in control with permanent Boners.

We are ate up with this shite out here, bruh.

We've had two deaths at my company, and three at my wifes. (We work in same town)

It definitely gets more real when people you've had a beer with die from it.

It could happen just that way. But COVID could mess with the Pac12 and B1G schedule and it almost makes it mandatory to consider any one-loss team out of the SEC and ACC. That seems very likely this year. A 2 loss SEC team over a one-loss ND seems just as likely without straining too hard.

When it comes time to genuinely get the 4 best teams, the playoff committee has been pretty consistent and even been willing to get away from conference championships to get them. (Ohio State and Alabama).
