I'm also not sure about the super talented part. I think he's a long, athletic guy who got to take advantage of being the 4th option on one of the scariest offenses of all time. Teams could not afford to think about him very much

His job was relatively easy in terms of getting open. He was forced to fight this year because he got more attention from defenses, and he just didn't really ever show the ability or desire to beat it

He's already married so it makes sense to declare.

Interesting, didn't know that. He showed himself well this year before the injury.

Married with a kid, JAD made him so money this year. Wish he would have stayed healthy but I think we will be fine at corner.

Watch him go to Texas and suddenly look like an All American against us the 2nd game this year

JAD may not have had a starting spot in the fall. At best, he would be fighting Kool-aid for playing time every week. Married with a kid...good time to try and make the jump. This year may well be his best year to bank some cash for the future.

Good luck to the young man.

I feel like these Alabama walk-ons in entering the portal are gonna fool somebody into giving them a scholly, kind of like when grandparents get fooled into buying off-brand stuff for their grandkids.

"Yeah! We got a Bama player boys!!"

The Bama player:

Billingsley took the poor man's OJ Howard approach. Be an absolute nonfactor until they forget about you, then BOOM, "Why was he so open?"

Not gifted with great hands, not good at routes/seperation, and a wash as a blocker. Athletic for the position, not much else...

It looks like after its all said and done, that we have 2 key points to address to make 2022 a chmpionship year:

1. The development of the WR core. I am not too worried about this one, we have 4 and 5 star talent across the board at the WR spot, I believe we will have that taken car of.

2. OL development. It looks like the interior is looking real good with Seth, Emil, and Javion. But what are we going to do at tackle. It has been a while since we have had to replac eboth tackle spots. Brockenmeyer, Lathem? Kight? George? Could Dalcourt slide over to play RT? He was a tackle out of high school.

Lathem will take one of the tackle spots, probably LT.

No idea about RT. Knight hasn't done anything in 3 seasons. George looked AWFUL at times last year. Dalcourt isn't physical enough for tackle. Brockenmeyer was undersized last year, might grow into a tackle by the fall.

Transfer portal might be the key for RT.

He actually was one of the best cornerbacks in the SEC until he got injured. I think this is a great move by him.

Hope he teaches his potential but Latham has a lot of work to do with footwork and assignments . He was at Guard so maybe he was a little confused but he whiffed several times in pass pro . Run blocking was much better . He hasn’t played the position long IIRC so he will get better

I was disappointed in Billingsley this year…but I still remember the good plays he had for us. Pretty much this year, all I’ll remember is his 4th down catch against Auburn…not sure what the issue was this year, I thought he was due for a big season…

But last year, he was good and I won’t forget that. Had an awesome Najee-like hurdle one game, a very nice TD catch against Auburn, and a clutch third down catch against OSU in the CFPCG. He did have a couple other TD catches, against LSU and Notre Dame if I recall, but he was wide open as someone else mentioned earlier; I think Sark really knew how to scheme in getting him open. If he goes to Texas, hopefully Sark can get him reignited…

Like him or not, he contributed to our natty last year and our win against Auburn this year, so I’ll remember him for that…
