Iowa?! Man, I wouldn't even wish that on Gattis. I wouldn't be surprised if Gattis goes back to Penn State.

I read an article a minute ago that said Alabama had reached out to Tennessee's new OC about a position on our staff (which position wasn't specified). His name is Joey Halzle, he was Tennessee's QB coach the last couple of years. He was promoted and his contract extended just a few days ago. He's been with Heupel for about 15 years, going back to Oklahoma. I can't find the article again to link it. No idea about the veracity of the article. It's the first time I've seen his name brought up.

It was a Twitter post and it was the same guy, conway_vinny, who made the post that Wiggins was going to Texas and Kirby was interviewing with the cardinals. I don't know why people keep falling for it.

I thought it didn't make sense, just checking to see if anyone knew anything about it. Seems like he's trolling the Vols more than us.

Tell me why Rob Chudzinski shouldn't get a look? He's well-regarded in Cleveland.

Is this serious? He hasn’t been in Cleveland since 2013. Outside of him doing some work for BC, he hasn’t been in a coaching position in college football in 20 years.

After he was fired in 2017 he was out of football for 3 years. There’s lots of reasons he shouldn’t get a look.

His offenses were spectacular with low talent.

He only served as an OC for about 5 years of his NFL career. He kept getting fired and spent most of his time coaching TE’s. The last year he was an OC the team finished 31st in offense.

I really hope we don't go the NFL retread route. I would have thought CNS would have had someone already lined up considering everyone knew BOB was leaving after this season. Just give me a guy that's had success in COLLEGE. I wouldn't be opposed to a group of 5 guy with a proven track record that fits what CNS wants the offense to be.

I agree with finding an up and coming offensive playcaller in the college ranks.

I have stated that Greg Roman is probably the best NFL retread option and I still think that but I just don't think he should be a top option.

Isn't this the definition of Golding coming in as DC. A group of 5 OC likely won't cut it.

This!! If it’s not Brady or Lebby, I’m all in for Johnson.

Is it realistic though? Folks are saying there is interest in him for NFL OC jobs.

I wouldn’t mind Lebby at all either but I wonder how realistically that is as well. He just got back to OU last year , just wonder why/if he would leave ?

I don’t disagree but it does need to be someone who’s had success with mobile QBs. All of the guys on campus have mobility and that was BoBs big weakness imho. KK is a guy I trust with that. Roman I’m not a big fan of but he’s had success with Lamar transitioning to the NFL game. Joe Brady would be phenomenal as well.
From that list:
1. KK
2. Brady
3 Roman
