Why? Because Saban is above question or criticism? What would your take be on what was said?

My take is he's right. We should be patient, instead of critquing potential OC & DC candidates.

Alright guy. I am not going to argue with you about what I said or my opinion on a message forum. As a fan and season ticket holder I dont think he should have any say so on what my opinion is or on what I post to a message board.

It's ironic how you insist you're entitled to state your opinions (anonymously) but Saban isn't.

ESPN’s Chris Low is reporting that Notre Dame OC Tommy Rees has emerged as the top candidate/target for the Bama OC job. He is meeting with Saban in Tuscaloosa today.

So is Saban in Tuscaloosa or on vacation in Boca Grande?

Don’t like the Tommy Rees hire but I’m a lot more confident that our OC hire isn’t as important as our DC hire.

I don’t think it will be a disaster…will probably be the same as BOB but hopefully a little more creativity

You know what I like it the more I think about it. He is a young guy who did a decent job at ND with far less talent than he will have here. I’m intrigued

I didn’t keep up with Notre Dame much in 2022, so I don’t know how their offense was. Sounds like it wasn’t too good.

Oh no its fine that he does. I was just stating my take on his terrible opinion. I am sure he would think my opinion sucks; same as I feel about his.

Notre Dame OC Tommy Rees

So this will be interesting. If Rees winds up being the guy, LSU fans are going to say it's a horrible hire, yet their genius coach tried, and failed, to bring Rees with him to LSU to be the OC!

Interesting article describing how it all went down when Kelly left ND for LSU: Rivals

They won’t be the only ones.

Some of y’all wanted more ground and pound. A throw back to McElwain or Nussemeir. Rees would probably be that. Looking at his offense at Notre Dame, they definitely ran more.

Not sure how to feel about this. Maybe he will be better with some better talent. But I haven’t seen anything that convinced me he can develop a QB

I hope "top candidate" is just journalist speak for "only person we can confirm is scheduled to interview", because this would be a pretty uninspiring hire. ND's offense is not great.

Weren't people saying the Faclons' offense was "meh" before Sark came to Bama as the OC?

He would have a lot more talent here Robot. It’s intriguing

I think Rees has done well with, frankly, not-quite-top-tier skill player talent. He plays to their strengths and that has consistently been OL and TEs.
