Same OLine (quality) as the past 2 years that scored 34 and 24 in just 1 half against Georgia…..only problem was Georgia deciding to to take away the MOF against Ty with 1-high Safety coverages and/or M2M, and deciding to go play zone also go to single high coverages by rolling it to the passing strength vs Milroe, which resulted in being shutout both halves (besides the RW heroics) after scoring 58 combined points in the 1st halves.
This is a perfect illustration of what I’m trying to explain about CKD’s offense….So did the OLine drop 34 points and 355 yards in 2 quarters on UGA then just forget how to block the same exact guys after a 20 minute halftime break?
Or last year’s Oline that put up
24 points and 283 yards in 2 quarters in Athens also forget how to block the same guys or did Kirby just fire his guys up better at halftime or get the deer antler spray going….
Surely the schematic adjustments couldn’t have possibly had anything to do with the OLine looking incredible while dropping 600+ yards in the 1st half of both games, and then gaining a combined 94 yards in the 2nd half of those same two games……Booker/Proctor and Brailsford must have all just decided to take it easy on the Dawgs so people wouldn’t change the channel bc it was a blowout.

That’s a very level-headed/objective perspective. Surely you are a Sunshine pumper with bright crimson glasses on j/k.
It’s hard to rationalize with most fans. They are passionate and Bama is the standard in CFB, so I understand. I just try to stay realistic and look at the roster CKD truly inherited, the tremendous job CKW has done with the defense, and what is the TRUE reason that has ultimately caused CKD’s offense to struggle at Alabama
The offense has looked incredible at times, like the 1st half in both Georgia games in 2024/2025 that produced 632 yards and 58 points, then get shutout both times in the 2nd half while producing a combined 94 total yards….the answer is much more more complex than saying Booker/Proctor/Brailsford played great in the 1st halves but terrible in the 2nd. They didn’t forget how to block during halftime……it’s schematics and your typical fans have a hard time seeing exactly what is happening and why it’s happening.
I’m not going to let myself get bummed out over a message board for Bama football, but I do wish we were a more rational and informed fanbase.
