If we do end up landing him or Toussaint after maybe one of them supposedly committed to a different team a couple days ago, I think we can drop the whole Arkansas is a super dirty program talk unless we also acknowledge that we are playing the same game as them and the other top programs

Based on what? I mean, this is also what you have to deal with if your entire recruiting strategy is the portal. It's way more prone to shenanigans than regular prep recruiting, and considering how much success they have had with it it's silly to think Tang is above all that.

Maybe Oats can start a coaching rehab program and bring in defensive analyst Bob Huggins for a couple seasons.

Good writeup on Wague from K States on3 site

quote:

“Wague is the Ideal big man K State desires. He is athletic, finishes around the rim, can guard multiple positions, runs the floor and rebounds well. Offensively, his skill-set is varied but his range is limited. Wague will almost exclusively be taking shots at the rim. 87 percent of his field goal attempts come from that spot on the floor, where he shoots at an 80 percent clip.”

“A major strength of his on the offensive end is offensive rebounds. Wague tallied a 19.5 percent offensive rebound rate last season for the Mountaineers and almost always converts those opportunities into points.”

“Defensively, his biggest strengths are using his athleticism and length and ability to elevate. He had a 5.7 percent block rate and a 2.3 percent steal rate for West Virginia. He can guard plenty of spots on the floor because he can move his feet well and has very good speed for his size.”

Wague is more important for us than Toussaint IMO.

If we get Wague we can play Nelson at the 3 some and then play Griffin at the 2 more and then play Estrada/Sears at the 1 more
