Oregon just had a stretch big to hit the portal about 6 hours ago...I wonder if we take a look at him.

I am retiring from this thread for the offseason, its terrible right now. See you guys next season maybe. Gonna try out 247 and on3 and see how they are.
I am genuinely curious as to what has upset you. This thread is 95+% positive these days. And there really hasn't been any negative posts all day.
All I can assume is that you're upset that someone thinks we aren't a 2-seed without any further additions, which isn't negative, it's just common sense. Just like it's common sense to know we're not done building our roster and have at least one extremely good transfer that seems like a lock and very possibly another one in the wings.
Wherever you go, I wish you well. But going forward I would try not to focus so much on negative (or non-positive) comments which are going to be on every single message board you go to. Life is too short to let someone on a message board work you up.

Well said… it’s understandable everyone is still down about the tournament and looking for some good news in this portal age where living in and looking at next season to build on to have another shot at it.
That tournament is probably one of the hardest if not the hardest championships to win. Izzo has been coaching almost 30yrs and only has 1 championship. Been to the F4 as much as any coach has and come up short so many times. It’s incredibly hard to win that trophy.
One day Bama will break that barrier. Oats has got the program headed towards that. Just gotta weather the storm and catch some breaks and have a little luck like all teams need to win it.

Weather the storm? Yes. Catch some breaks? Health was the only break UConn needed this year. Lots of years there are other breaks needed, but UConn made their own breaks and didn’t need any help from anyone. Truly one of the most dominant tourney runs I’ve ever seen.

LSU landed Carlos Stewart from Santa Clara. McMahon has done really well in the portal

I think your definition of a negative post and his definition of a negative post are probably pretty far apart.

My only reservation with Claunch is that it's probably going to be a short term arrangement. The Southland being a half step up from the SWAC in terms of competition definitely limited his ability to climb the coaching ladder, but this move will help get his name out there more and based on what I've read of his reputation in coaching circles it might only be a couple of years before he gets a legit mid-major job. No one wanting your assistants likely means you aren't winning, but with the recruiting cycle in basketball being essentially like 3-4 years vs. 1-2 for football, staff continuity is a much bigger deal. So hopefully we don't fall into the trap of having to replace an assistant or two every couple of years.

This isn't bad move at having to replace every 2 or 3 years. New idea, new concepts, new fresh breath of air. It's always someone who's talented and waiting for a change to coach at d1 level.

I was told in a private conversation with an insider from another board for a Big10 team that I root for that Estrada and Mack are coming to Bama. This guy is friends with lots of current big name coaches and is almost always right.

How would you like to start out in the Consolation Bracket in a tournament that hasn’t even started yet?
Lol.
Lol.

Not exactly the Phil Knight from last year. Still hopefully a couple quality games.
I imagine the non conference schedule may be scaled back a little from the last two years. I’m sure it will still be good but not exactly the gauntlet it has been.

Anybody know what the deal is with the disparity between Kris Parker's 247 rating and his composite rating? I don't think I've ever seen that big a difference between them. 247 must really not like him.

You guys are really underestimating Mouhamed Dioubate. According to CNO analytics team, Mo D was a Top 25 recruit, so he was way undervalued by the national recruiting services, similar to Clowney. I see him getting a lot of minutes at the 4 spot (possibly a few minutes per game at the 3), along with Walters a few minutes per game as a stretch 4, depending on the matchup (& some minutes at the 3 until he gets physically stronger) and hopefully Mack (with some minutes per game at the 5, especially if Angry Chuck & Pringle get in foul trouble). Roll Tide!
Interesting tidbit from BOL

I already said it.
He's being looked over...Mo is going to be a good one from day 1.
Mo has worked to do on his shot/offensive game but defensively he can guard multiple position.
Mo is very similar to Herb Jones by the way but the difference is Mo's body is physically ready for SEC basketball right now.
