DrewD has said to watch out for the Barn with Denver Jones. I believe his former HS coach or AAU coach has a close connection with them.

That makes sense, it'll be interesting to see how we attack the portal this year since numbers are tight at the moment.

I'm just interested to see how this season effects our ability to recruit. I've felt that our system should be appealing to NBA hopefuls, since it's very similar to what meant teams run. But now we've proven that it's a system you can win with in college. The live or die by the 3 narrative has been put to rest. And since top transfer are usually looking for a place to show off for pro scouts, you'd think elite transfers would be lining up to play at Bama.

All those accolades are hard to believe. Are they true? Has to be a catch somewhere.

Is he another one of these kids that isn't as highly ranked bc they didn't play on the AAU and shoe company teams? Like Clowney and Herb?

Looks like Pitino has his eyes set firmly on Boogie Fland. A tough pull just got a lot tougher.

Dioubate’s school, Putnam Science Academy plays in a national private school league. They beat Sunrise Academy, which is in Kansas I think, for their 4th national championship in 6 years. So Mo is player of the year in that league

He wasn't just the player of the year in that league, he was the New England player of the year, which encompasses 6 states.

Thanks. It makes more sense now.

Arizona's Kerr Kriisa is entering the NCAA transfer portal, he told ESPN. Kriisa, who led the Pac-12 in assists while shooting 37% for 3, will be one of the most coveted players in the transfer market this spring.

792 players have now entered the transfer portal since the 2022-23 season tipped off on November 7th.
374 of those players (47.2%) are from a MM or LM program that averaged 5.0 PPG or less.

That's the side of the portal that all the athlete empowerment types don't really like to talk about. For every kid like Mark Sears or Ricky Council who was undervalued as a recruit, plays really well at a mid-major, and turns that into a key role at a better program there are a couple dozen who sit at the end of the bench at a mid-major for a couple of years, go into the portal because they think they should play more minutes, and never find another school. There's nothing empowering about that.

I'll just note that he's (Robert Miller) a class of 2024 guy just to be clear. Top 75 recruit.
He's 6'9" and named Miller. I don't need to watch his fun to know I want him.
