How would you like to open with Michigan State’s schedule?:

Northern Arizona
Gonzaga
Kentucky
Villanova
Alabama (then two more PK games)
Notre Dame
2 Big Ten games (NW and Penn State)
Then it’s not until December 10th that they catch their breath against Brown

Tough schedule for Michigan State-but not tougher than ours, and while they are catching their breath Dec 10 against Brown, we are on the road at Houston.

Notice I said he's got the shooting potential of Booker.

At Clemson...Tevin was good!

Haven't seen much of him, but from what I've seen, it's easy to tell that Oats has a type in mind for the 4-spot: long, perimeter defenders with some ball-handling.

Dioubate would become the highest ranked kid in this class for us according to the 247C unless/until Kaden Cooper joins the fold.

I'm expecting Cooper to get a bump but regardless this class is shaping up nicely here towards the end.

Yeah, doesn't look like we're going to end up with anyone who should be expected to be an instant impact guy, but a bunch of versatile wings who should be here for 3-4 years is the kind of class you need every couple of years. I'm just glad this staff has proven that they are capable of bringing in some quality prospects when plan A falls through. Filling out the recruiting class with multiple warm bodies when we miss on 3 of our top 5 guys was a huge problem for us for years.

From what I've read, it seems like Cooper, Walters, and Cosby should all be getting bumps in the rankings soon.

Add Cooper and Dioubate to a class that already has Walter, Cosby, and Johnson, and that's a pretty solid class right there.

Some may consider the Johnson move a reach, but I think he fills that 13th spot we're currently not using with a local kid who will fill that 3rd PG spot for depth for the four years he's presumably here. Who knows, he may surprise us all too.

Cosby fills that pure shooter wing our offense loves ala John Petty and Josh Primo. Hopefully he can produce close to what they did while at UA, especially Petty. He seems to have some better facilitation to his game than initially antiicipated too.

Cooper fills that all-around bulldog wing that plays great defense, provides elite athleticism, and keeps developing an offensive game. I'm thinking Keon Ellis, but instead we have him for potentially all 4 years.

Dioubate reminds me a lot of Gary from a frame and toughness standpoint, but seems to be the shooter Gary never was. He's an elite hustle guy and has the body to make room down low against taller defenders and to rebound over them.

Walters is the big man we've all talked about other teams having, but feel like we've never had ourselves. A long and smooth athlete with a silky smooth jump shot. Solid slasher and rebounder that just seems to always be in the right place at the right time. Similar to Alex Reese, but has more athleticism and smoothness to his game.

The Anthony Grant special. Dude had a pretty horrible stretch of luck with many of his top targets, but we'd miss on them and go into the season with 9 or 10 players on the roster regularly. Still have PTSD so bad from that experience that I had a panic attack when Oats said we'd leave a roster spot open with JQ already out half the year.

I think Kaden Cooper will end up being an instant impact guy if he ends up committing. He’s got a really developed game already defensively, which will warrant playing time, and his offensive game is coming along nicely. Also importantly, he has the frame and athleticism to allow him not to be at a disadvantage against guys he’s going up and will allow him to work through some of the bumps all freshman go through.
